Since starting this a few months ago, I don't know how I did without it. I was suffering from unbearable lower back pain and crazy headaches. After a few adjustments I was stronger and pain free. I haven't gone in a while and the headaches are back and I don't feel near as good. I noticed on a lot of guys videos that they regularly get adjusted. How many of you guys consider this an important part of your training?

I love it, swear by it and usually follow up an adjustment with a deep tissue massage on Sundays.......chiro and training for me go hand in hand.

When I was in my early to mid 20's I would go to a chiropractor once a week but as I got older it did less and less good for me and deep tissue massages were better for me so I switched over to those, and man o man did they hurt so good! My best workouts were following the deep tissue massage as I would get it done by my buddy who did the massages and owned the gym. He passed away GOD Bless his soul !!!

I too go from time to time esp. to get my neck cracked, some swear at them, I swear by them. Keeps everything in line, think about heavy squating and what it could do to your spine. I always take at least 2 days off after going

Yeah I go, got a good buddy that is one, and I just pop in whenever and he cracks me for free. Very nice of him to do that. He is a big guy also so he can work me with no problem.

I usually go about once a month or so. It definitely helps me. I could probably go once a week and justify it, but I try not to unless really needing it. I also get deep tissue massages. They are without a doubt a huge help. I just got one Monday, and I feel way better. It really loosens you up and gets those knots out. It really opened my back up and it looks a lot bigger and more defined.

A chiropractor has saved me from immense pain more than I can count. To me there is nothing like an adjustment and a good deep tissue massage. Glad your feeling better Dude.

Chiropractors make a good quick fix but the real answer is in myofascial release (can also be addressed with deep tissue massage). Picture that skeleton from science class in high school... all joints moved freely no impingement's and I bet besides hunger pains if the skeleton could talk it would have no aches and pains. Thats how the majority of chiropractors see patients. The root of all of our aches and pains and compensations and misalignments etc etc etc come from muscle imbalance or pulls or strains, over active, underactive yadda yadda... to keep it short fix the muscular problems and the majority of joint or localized aches and pains, muscle tightness and imbalanced muscle growth will follow suit. My two cents. But plus I'm a corrective exercise specialist so I'm sort of anti-chiropractic... I've just had so many situations where I can fix in an hour what chiros have been sucking my clients finances for months just to cover up. Just to recap there is nothing wrong with Chiros... but the true fix will lie in the deep tissue works. again just my two cents.

I used to go to the chiropractor and noticed a big improvement in how I felt. The doctor recommended getting an inversion table. I did and that seemed to really help. Now that's all I use.

I agree. This Dr I would see would adjust you until you got a massage first. There were two therapist there that were so awesome. Deep tissue is where its at.

I think best case scenario is massage and Chiro. I also have an inversion table. I have spindolysthesis. Short of occassionally having it realigned, there is nothing I can do to fix it. Deep tissue is the shit though, but I can't train the day after and its brutally painful.

I go to a rolfer. Like a deep tissue but he is also working on the muscle facia. Hurts like a mother. Sometimes
he will be digging his elbow into a knot and it hurts so much it is like every muscle in my body is spasiming. He laughs and
says 'dont worry the muscle can only spasim for so long' after a minute you feel the knot just relax and release.
Sometimes I am soaking wet from sweat by the time he is done. I go once a month and it has really helped.
Like someone said, sometimes your pain is from something out of wack on the other side of your body but every
thing is compensating for that and the knot is in a totally different location. Helped the hell out of me.
No pain, no gain really applies here. lol
