I had my usual oatmeal with black iced coffee and hit Biceps, Calves, and Quads this morning.
My Hamstrings were still sore from the Deadlifts on Wednesday. I was dialed-in and think it went about 80 minutes. I only did 45 minutes of Cardio though; my Legs were smoked.
I squashed the tip of my middle finger racking a dumbbell a few days ago and thought nothing of it. I'm sure everyone here has done it. Now it's swollen, red, and painful. I'm hoping it resolves on its own. Antibiotics now would definitely mess up my prep.
I found out today that I have a mandatory work event the day before my competition. I have always taken the Friday off before competing on a Saturday. Sometimes the Thursday as well. So, I'm looking for another show to do in August or early September. I don't think I can keep this prep going into October. I'm already thinking of my next Blast post competition.

I just finished 60 minutes of Cardio. I’m pissed I couldn’t train with the finger issue. Tomorrow I’m going to load up the Smith Machine and do all pressing movements. I haven’t wrapped my thumbs around the bar in decades and use mostly my palms anyway. I’ll be safe in the Smith Machine😁

just take 1 week off upper body completely and dont grip anything
do lower body and core and cardio

This is the one. My wife and I decided tonight at dinner. Our daughter lives nearby in White Plains. I’ll qualify for next years Masters Nationals just by doing the show and work on some of my weaker areas in the off season.

Im so cautious with racking because after doing that once in my life never again lol
