got one in my elbow, and two in my lower back. I just got back on Gear after about 2 years off, and my elbows and lower back got so painful that i couldnt sleep at night. Constantly waking up and having to straighten my arm back out. I think it was the super heavy close grip bench that i was doing. Anyways we shall see if this cures my ailment...

Good luck bro. I hate when something disturbs my sleep!!! Hope you have a speedy recovery.

I hope it works. I have had a few in my lower back, but it has not done anything for me.

yeah, i had one in my knee several years back, and it was cool for about 3 months. I could run and had almost no pain, but then they opted to scope it, and found torn muscle, scar tissue, and bone chips.

yeah, they are excellent for joint pain. Oh, and i took your advice and started front squats! Pumped up my quads awesome today!!!

I hate cortisone shots because they flush me out, make my bp go up, and give me edema like a mofo. I know they are useful for certain things but I freaking hate them.

That sucks, im just worried about long term problems with it mostly. I think it can actually degrade connective tissue and muscle if taken too frequently. Not sure though, Doctor stuck two cortizone patches on each tricep yesterday, and pain was zero after heavy press movements.

When I had cortisone shots it didn't do anything for me. My sports medicine doctor gave me a few after surgery to repair the peroneal tendon in my left ankle. Didn't reduce the pain at all, swelling did go down a little though.

The tendon was shredded. He told me it looked like a mop head. I injured it and apparently it never healed properly and there was a ton of dead tissue in my leg. The doctor said if he knew how bad it was before opening up my leg he would have used a cadaver. He used to be the doctor for the Carolina Hurricanes and he told me my injury was the worst of that kind he had ever seen. :surprised:

I was on Oxycontin and Percocet for a while which helped some. I have been to physical therapy and a pain clinic to try and manage and have tried NUMEROUS things, but nothing helped, including the cortisone shot. I think it's just something I will have to deal with.

Well I don't take anything for it anymore. I just deal with the pain. It's been years since the injury so the pain just seems like a normal part of life now. It's really only bothers me when I try to sleep or if I'm still and not preoccupied.

Yeah, I hate having interrupted sleep. Even waking up to pee drives me nuts. I need my beauty sleep!! haha

^ i dont mind waking up so much to pee, i usually take advantage of being up and eat some protein, before i head back to sleep again.

Talking about cortizone injections and I have got both knees yesterday again. After my doc sow my MRI he said my platela is not smooth iand i will need surgery in the future in about 3 to 4 years so he sayd that i coulkd have pain back in 6 month and just go and take it again.

What caused this injury bro? any ideas?

22 Years training i in my case i guess???
Doctor says that he does surgery to people that never train or never exercise before, even 16 year old guys, so you will never know why you screw your knees.

Yeah, people are definately different. In your case i would say that 22 years of iron and your physique was definately worth it!
