anti inflamatories and pain killers dont work for me bro....Pain meds make me loopy and thats cool if im just training in the gym but when im in competition i just cant do it....fucks me up soemthing fierce lol...and thats not a bad thing, just makes me less competitive lol.....tomorrow is my appt with the doc...he is the doc for the Bengals and UC bearcats as well...so im sure he has seen his fair share of these types...we will see tomorrow

well fuck...no cort. shot for me. Just naproxen....that shit is worthless. I really wasnt looking for the quick fix that cortisone would offered but sometimes its better than nothing and the anti inflamitories dont help. The diagnosis was that my ulna nerve subluxes every time i bend my arm inward...causing it to pinch or be iritated...so its pretty much a genetic problem...its in both elbows.....imma just cut em off...i think life would be more simple that way....yeah im so kidding to all you soft hearted people out there :)

it would be more simple, no more training upperbody!

Worst thing going bro. Cortizone actually hinders muscle. Have you ever heard of the chemical Cortisol? People think that since it is injected into the joint for releaf that it is localized but infact since it is in the body, the body absorbs it and it affects other systems.Do a little digging and you will find that a side effect of Cortizone is not what you want.

Well I had a bone spur and tendonitis in my right shoulder could barely lift it over my head. Doc gave me a shot and told me how to work the tendonitis out. Stayed with his program and two months later right side is strong as it ever was. It worked for me I was finally able to break 350 on bench and have no other problems. Now I did do a cycle in there of Deca, EQ, and Test which helped as well. I say it has its place.

Relief but....

I agree with the others-quick relief of the symptom, not the problem. I've had them almost everywhere, but my elbow was the worst-my ortho doc gave me 5!!(I had begged him not to cut me at the time, each actually weakens the tissue), you really should not have more than 3 in any joint-anyway I finally had my elbow cut-he cut the ligament clean, drilled a couple of small holes in the bone and ran the sutures through the holes for the new attachment. The rehab sucked, :puke: but now its better than ever-no strength loss at all!! If you can handle the time off, and its bad, think about the surgery.

Bump
I dug this one up, after one yr now my left elbow is still hurting....tricep work has decreased and it effects my bench, dips, PD's etc.

Ive heard both side regarding the shots, but mainly it masks the pain so you go balls to wall, unknowingly injuring it further and in long run, your actaully worse off. True??? A member just told me he had one in deltoid and presto he never had any more pain, and this was yrs ago

Anyone??
