Let me give you an example: I saw another bb'er in the gym doing his exercises this way. I did one-armed rows for my back thickness exercise (I do DC training). This time, I really exploded the movement although with control--moving heavy weight as quickly as possible on the concentric movement, a little slower on the eccentric movement (all with good form). I did all the reps for each set as quickly as possible, and with DC, your last set goes to failure. I was really pumped after the exercise, and it felt good. I always thought I was doing explosive movements, but I guess I wasn't. I tried this technique on all my lifts, and I was really pumped after that workout. Got sore muscles that haven't really been sore for a long time. Most of the time I don't really get that sore.
