DC whatever....

I would compare your feelings on DC routine (don't laugh) to someone who has given birth (twice)... hear me out.... The first labor is like 20 hours and painful and you shoot out a kid, WOW how great. The second time the old lady's baby chute is ready to go and the kid is born 20 minutes after getting to the hospital. Result- The new mom (again) is in disbelief that it even happened.
Moral- If you are training properly you could ultimately grow doing any combination of volume/intensity so long as is it challenging enough. (within some guidelines of course)
The opposite of DC might be described as 100's...
Anyone remember those?

DC = Giving birth, lmao, now theres a routine i cant wait to start, lol

can also be compared to taking a shit. Can be painful but feels good when
your done!!!

the 100's I heard of way back in the day involved doing literally 100 reps staright (if possible) and wherever you stopped at you counted that many seconds for a break, and then lowered the weight and continued until you reached 100. It was in like an ancient issue of muscle mag from the 80's. (heck I am not even sure if I described it actually, but the idea of total failure was at least the theory) I am sure there are different levels of efectiveness when designing any total failure routine, but this stuck out in my head over the years.....probably b/c of the level of absurdity.
