Do you do squats and leg press during the same workout?

What I've been doing is alternating weeks. One week I'll do sqauts and then go about the rest of my leg day. The next week I'll do leg press and then continue. My reasoning was they are both such demanding movements I didn't want to overtrain. I am wondering if this is bad logic though.

Do you guys do squats and leg press on the same day or some other way? Any insight?
 
I no longer do barbell squats (2 hernias) I do squat machine and or light front squats and leg press on the same day as well. My days of going heavy are over, just enough weight to burn out at 10-12 reps.
 
squats first then presses. I think i get better growth, and can go heavier if i do squats first
 
I know I train probably a bit differently than you guys, but I do both... and I do legs twice a week. I HAVE to do them early in my workout though or I expend too much energy and don't have enough to get it done.

So if I do squats and someone's on the leg press and I move on to something else before the leg press, then I'll still do it (if it's not being used by the time my second exercise is done). If it's still being used, then I'll either skip it or do high volume once I finally get around to it and keep the weight lower (lower for me is a 45# plate per side)... OR I'll rep out on the seated leg press at the end of my workout with different foot positions to target quads, hams, glutes just to exhaust the muscles as best I can.

I've been throwing in hack squats lately too (high reps, no additional weight though).
 
Well, did both today since it was leg day. Did leg press first and went heavy and had very little left for squats afterwards. Next week I think I'll do squats first and see how it goes. Seems like pretty much everyone does both so I'll give it a go and see if I get better results. I did notice that I fried my legs today. Doing both squats and leg press together had to have something to do with that.
 
i do hacks and press, or smith squats and press. one narrow stance for outer sweep, one wide stance for teardrop and inner leg.
 
I do both as well. I'll warm up do squats then a hamstring lift then leg press. I typically do 2 sets of single leg leg press and then 2 sets of both legs together.
