Do you tip your server/bartender..

i tip if they deserve it...and if they do I usually tip generously. I have been a waiter before and I know how bad it sucks sometimes, but there is no excuse for being an ass. And the truth is if they think you are not going to tip you get put on the bottom of the list of people to check on in their mind. So if they screw up at the first, don't feel bad about asking for a different server. Especially if you find that they are not being as attentive to you as the should be.

I always tip but I always visit the same places and get good service. If my brother and I go out and get a woman server we're usually pretty hard to handle when we're both flirting and busting their chops etc. We joke around so we always make sure we over tip them and we're never offensive. We do always make sure we tip well even if we get a guy and bust his balls a bit and make up for it with the tip.

I don't work in that line of work anymore but its something that I will have with me for life. I make sure I don't go out unless I have money to tip.

i always tip very well. well i take that back if the server is shitty then ill still tip just not as much but if they are good i usually give like 20%.

if i like what i get as far as the food or service i will tip if i dont then fuckum, thats just my opinion, i didnt go out and spend $50 to be pissed off.

It old thread, but jay is spot on. If they give shitty service they don't deserve a tip. I don't care if they depend on it to get by. They should give better service then. I know if I was in the same situation I would do my very best with every customer in my "area".

Having been in the server industry, I always tip very well. It sucks when you bust your ass and get nothing........

if the server/bartender is great and i dont have to wait for 10 15 minutes for a drink then i tip well but ive litterally had to wait for 15 minutes to get a beer at a local resturant. I left 2 pennies i got from my change for him.
