Do you work out for fitness, cosmetics, or competition?

I work out for fitness because my metabolism sucks, but I would be telling one if the attention isn't nice. Lets be honest... girls like muscle.

I work out for the love of it, for the healthy life style, and then got into competition briefly and just do it for longevity in health

I forgot to mention it helps with my anxiety as well. I do love working out too. I ve been doing it 14 years now.

I started out for health reasons back in 1995, then got into the lifestyle and started working toward competition. in 2003 i found out I have some medical conditions that would keep me from being able to ever compete at a professional level but I loved the way I looked, so did it for cosmetic reasons after that.
I was in a bad accident a few years ago and stopped working out altogether.
Im back into it now for the very reason I got into it to begin with. Although this time, Ill have to go all natty due to health issues.

as you get older, and your kids start growing up.. You start mingling with the normal crowd more at soccer games and what not.

Its amazing how diffrent a life with out the gym is. I look at these people and have a hard time finding one chick i would bang.

all i see is fat people.

Crg how is married life. I was hoping she didn't kill you on the honeymoon? I was thinking about you the other day. LOL Zoloft made me have crazy dreams and since I never go into deep wave sleep they all felt really...well real. LOL Also killed my sex drive.

i workout because only few can put themselves through what it takes to reach a level of ...
"damn thats a big mother fxcker" lol j/k

i do it becasue i love the gym, self improvment, visual changes that are brought upon by studies and figuring out what works for you, the fact that its a lifestylethat only few can follow, and of course the comps's and for the love of the sport we call Bodybuilding

I started working out because I didn't wanna be a fat ass!!!

I still don't wanna be, but now I love training... I look forward to blocking out the noise from the rest of the world and getting in my own personal zone and doing my thing. I love hitting personal records and pushing myself beyond physical limits that I never thought were possible for little 5'1" me.

I'm enjoying the competition process as well (minus the post-show weight gain, grrrr), but it really helps me put a "no cheating, no excuses!" rule on my diet when I'm leaning out... so that I can really see that changes I've made in my physique and display my hard work proudly.

started for cosmetic reasons and just because i liked it, but mow i have moved onto liking competition aspects of it all

I started out as a teenager because I was scrawny and I wanted muscles... chicks dig muscles. Then as a Marine Paratrooper I mainly did it for strength and conditioning, because let's face it, you just can't do the job without being strong and fit. Now, I do it because it keeps me from unnecessarily killing people (stress), plus I still eat like a teenager. I have a hot wife, and there are tons of young studs that would love to take her away, so I figured as long as I'm more of a physical specimen than they are, they don't have anything to bring to the table. Plus having the size scares the daughter's boyfriends. lol. Plus I like hitting the beach, and water parks, and there's no way in hell I'm going to look like a fat fuck tourist.

Married life is great bro. We had a blast on the honeymoon and we found a great house that we made an offer on about two weeks ago. They accepted the offer, and we are approved for the loan so our closing date is Oct 30. We will move in on Halloween, lol. Anyway, things have been going great man, thanks for asking. Hope all is well for you too:)

I used to be on Zoloft too and I hated it. The things you listed are a few of the reason I refused to take it.
