Outside my left arm about midpoint from elbow to wrist. It literally feels like its gonna snap when im barbell curling and some soreness when im doing nosers. Is there a doctor in the house?

it could be anything from a sore muscle to a pulled/strained muscle. if its getting to a point where you cant do much with it. Its time to go see a Doc.

I had the same problem for a while. I switched to cambered or an EZ bar and the pain has disappeared.

bump, the ez curl helps alot.

straight bar curls are notorious for the forearm "splints".

I get the same problem, it's just b/c of the full extension which causes pain in the forearms. I don't know what to say except lay off the barbell curls for a while till the forearm soreness goes away.

You're getting some tendonitis. I've had it myself, and strangely enough it was from the EZ curl bar on the preacher bench. After I let it heal, I started doing barbell curls with the Olympic bar and kept my form very strict--elbows to the side. Keeping strict form is the only thing that has kept it from coming back. You may come down in the weight you can do, but it is far more beneficial in results and in not getting tendonitis.

same problem here too. Seems im more prone when Im off gear. Im not sure if this will help you, but about the same time I started really concentrating on my forearm development the pain has subsided. Has not returned, doesn’t make much sense since this must be a tendon problem- but just thought Id throw it out there.

Muscles are attached to the bone by ligaments. These can also get tiny abraisions when performing stressful work. It is inportant to locate the origin of pain. If it is from muscle it may be a pulled muscle. Extreme instances of torn muscles you would have known. If the pain or soreness originate from rubbing your finger over the bone it is most likely a ligament or connective tissue with abraision. It is good to avoid stress on the area for three weeks and see a doctor for an x-ray if pain persists.
