What would you do if you knew some people that you are close to, that were wasting there time trying to be bodybuilders? I mean as they actually want to try and be a pro. But genetics, I mean you can just look at some people, and tell there is no way in hell. Even with them juicing their asses off and working out, they still look like shit.

Tell him to go to a different country. Have you seen the so called pros coming out of (insert country)? I'd tell them that with enough time and drugs, he can make it.

Thats a tough one. You hate to squash someones dream. Hopefully it is a shortlived dream and passes soon. Somethings take care of
themselves just with time. You have to watch out as some people just try harder when people tell them they cant do something.

If they can't tell by looking at themselves....what makes you think they would believe anyone else?

i have a friend like this, he's been trying to get his procard for almost 10 years now but he has never placed higher then 9th in a national level show. dude looks great offseason weighing 275 but contest day he comes in small and loses his size especially in his back for some reason. BB is all he has ever done so he doesnt know any different but i guess not my place to tell him to hang it up

After 10 years, he's never going to accept it anyway

Couldn't have said it better. Besides dreams are sometimes all we have. Chasing them bring alot of people joy and happiness. In all reality life fucking sucks I you do it by the book. You have to make it what you want it to be regardless of what others see as limiting factors.... did I get a little off topic??? I feel like a preacher. Can I get a Amen?!

Amen!! plus poeple like that, like me LOL.... keep the industry alive. i know ill neverr be a pro, but body building is my hobby, and it keeps me happy. and i like feeling strong

Damn! You could have just sent me a PM, didn't have to start a thread about it......

Almost every bodybuilding video that I've ever seen has a pro with a non pro workout partner. Whether they say it or not, most of them would like to be pro. I don't think the pro's they're working out with ever tell them to give it up. I do feel bad for the guys spending a lot of money on gear to compete only to place at the bottom. If I had a friend wasting time I wouldn't tell him. If it's someone I don't know I'll just talk about it as a hobby. The truth is, most guys competing will never get a pro card. I don't care what they take or eat, most will never get it.

It's people like this, who have the dream and the drive, that keep the sport alive and going. It's those that don't make it on a pro card that have if anything more zeal/zest for this sport then anyone, cause they never give up and die trying!
Genetics are just a road block in the mind that will mind fuck us in this sport, look above and beyond and push it to what ever fricken limit one wants, be more then what you are today, and be ever better tomorrow.
We need all types of people in vast areas in this sport to help all of us everywhere. I bet this guy you speak of Nuk, has forgot more then what most people will know in a lifetime with this sport!
This sport is about support and bother-hood, let the "judges do the judging", other wise let your friend dream and keep chasing his dream, for all you know, it may be the last and only dream he has left!

I know for one thing, this sport has saved more lives then it has taken lives. Kudos to your buddy Nuk, and very cool of you to show that much compassion and heart to your buddy, sounds like you truly care for your brother there.
If anything be his biggest critic to get better and better.

Good luck.
