SHIT, went to walk down my back stairs this morning - been raining and
was wearing new tennis shoes. First step feet shot out and I slid down
about 90 miles a hour. Tried to dig heels in but too slipery and was moving
too fast. That wasent the problem. I had a ladder laying on the side of the
stairs and my arm got stuck in one of the rungs and as I shot down past
the rung I think my arm got pulled out of the socket - pulled loose - and
poped back in. Sholder is fucked - first thing I thought about was not only
working sholders but chest, back and even arms. Well, Mabey its time to
concentrate on legs for a while. Hey, you guy have any good shit you
use instead of ben gay.
 
That sucks bud, I'm real sorry to hear about it. Wish you lived around me as we just learned how to diagnose and treat some of the most common shoulder injuries. Course, I would probably just make things worse in the long run, lol. Maybe you should go see someone about it bud. Go see a familiy doc if you can, preferrable a D.O. as they can do all of the manipulation a Chiropractor can, but they can also so everything a M.D. can as well. I busted my shoulder about 1.5 months ago playing football, I was running and got hit, fell down right on it and heard a loud pop. I went an saw a D.O. and the put everything back where it needed to be. He had me ice it 3X a day for a week and keep it as immoble as possible and in 2 weeks I couldnt tell I had done anything to it. As far as things besides ben gay I don't know, hopefully someone else will be able to help you out on it, but I say take it easy on the shoulder and let it heal. And you're right...time to tear some legs up!

rest,ice,compression,elevation this has always helped me when i got hurt, that and some anti inflammatories...just take it easy and give it some time to heal..
 
Ice - and not using too soon. Sounds like a plan. (didn't even think about the ice-
what is the principle behind that?)

well if it makes you feel any better i was typing with one hand and using the other to spank myself with a pickled herring and call myself a naughty boy...
 
get yourself some Mineral Ice. It's like Ben-Gay but lasts longer. As a Marathon runner I've tried everything for joints and Mineral Ice is by far the best, another choice that's better than Ben-Gay is Icy-Hot.

No shit normal. I work out at least twice a week with a little martial arts and I get
thrown around like a rag doll. I know it saved my ass a couple of months ago when
I took a slider down the freeway on my motorcycle and this time also when I landed
flat on my back sliding down the stairs. Your body gets used to hitting the ground
and it just automaticly sets for impact. The scary thing is that things happen in
threes!! Mike - will try the mineral ice - there is so much shit out there it's hard
to tell which is good. Thanks, and I am already thinking about how to hit arms -
cant let those deflate!!
 
shoulder injury sux bro im still recovering from mine. all you need is Time!!! dont use that arm just light physio wen u ready i wore a sling wen i first done it just to remind me not to use that arm.
 
Still hurts. been working out heavy but not sholders yet. Hurts w/chest and back
and some arm exercises. Is getting better slow. Probably because I am still doing
the other exercises. Hey, I am a stubborn ass.
 
Seperated my shoulder wrestling, 1998 districts, hurts every day. I think that has to be one of the worst parts of your body to get hurt. Good luck and dont push it , if its too bad its either surgery or live with it.
 
I am a stubborn ass (also union) If I dont have some kind of pain I think something is
wrong. lol Yeah, sholder takes a long time cus you always use it. Shit, it hurts
turning my stering wheel when I drive. Suck it up. I call it being a MAN - my wife
calls it being a IDIOT!!!

When I start bitchin all my friends remind me Im union and I have great benifits and should have got it taken care of but I dont want the down time. I know I will look back like I do now wishing I had it taken care of so I would be in the recovery stages now . When your getting gains you dont want to stop!

Lol! My wife would also call it being a MAN. She has some different views since she's from Brazil. She doesn't let me baby myself at all. Have to buck up and keep on pushing forward. Hope you get better soon, bro.
