I've been putting off getting a bunion removed for years. Now its starting to mess up my knee now cause i walk funny.

So im finally scheduling an appointment. They're most likely going to cut open the nuckle and scrap out the bone. Since i need both done, its going to mess up my legs/ cardio for a good 6 months.

sucks cause I really dont need to be taking time off.

Just think, you'll get pain meds for at least a couple weeks where you'll develop an addiction that will eventually force you to the streets where you'll find yourself sucking dick for a fix.

lol, I actualy did miss you during your hiatus, lmao

going to have them looked at today. I heard there was a new procedure thats less invasive. But we will see.

the doc took one look and found that on one foot the knuckle doesn't bend at all. It caused my toes to curl inward. Other one is bad too. I have whats called a dorsal bunion, so it grows up instead of on the side. It prevents my toe from bending.... I've waited till now, its to the point where its messing up my knee cause i walk funny.

anyway, they're going to pull the knuckle apart, grind down the build up, and put in pins to keep my toes straight. This will prevent me from doing much walking for 2 weeks, then they're pulling the pins out. So i wont be able to run for some time. I should be able to do something after they pull the pins... we will see.

good new is, I should be able to run a hell of a lot better after this is all over.

no walking for two weeks? does that mean wheel chair? theres a humbling experience.

a friend of mine has his done and was in a wheel chair. But for some reason the doctor feels confident that i can be walking within 2 weeks. I guess we will see. Im not working right now and i guess if i cant walk for a month- its the best time.

Just cut your toe off. You don't need them all. LOL. In all seriousness I have ingrown toenails and it is horrible. Your feet can cause you horrible pain. I hope this goes well for ya bro.

i (might) swim in order to get some cardio in. Thats if i cant stand on my feet cause otherwise ill do stairs. I broke my foot before and had to resort to doing that.

I thought only old ladys got that shit (I seen the pins in the toes on someone before - yikes) How bout some pic's for the
boys here?? I would make sure I had dumbells to work at least arms and mabey sholders - shit, you can do that in a
wheelchair. Mabey high reps. Think of it as a good rest before hitting it like a crazy man. I mean "crazier" man. Luck bro and
keep us posted "Mr. Wheels" (sorry, couldn't help that one bro.)

haa haa... my doc said no wheel chair. OH, theres no stopping. Im still hitting upper body. Ill even be doing leg curls and ext.

Im just mostly concerned about cardio.

and for the record. I played a lot of soccer when i was a kid. The one on my right foot first got looked at when i was 16.

done with the surgery. Finally able to walk... I fing hate sitting in bed all day!!!!!!!!!!!

Good to hear... Sounds like everything went as planned with the surgery.

well, sort of. I guess it was a lot worst than the doctor could see from the ex-ray. The joint might have some problems. I have a feeling my feet are torn up pretty bad, but i dont get to actually look at them until thursday.
