IGF-1 Do we really need HGH for muscle building?

From reading the below. For muscle building purpose IGF1 seems to be the logical route since HGH's primary and major role is to stimulate IGF-1 secretions for muscle growth and protien uptake.....Anyway read this excerpt from International anti aging foundation.

The major role of HGH is to stimulate the liver and other tissues to secrete IGF-I. IGF-I stimulates the proliferation of chondrocytes (cartilage cells), resulting in bone growth. IGF-I also appears to be the key player in muscle growth. It stimulates both the differentiation and proliferation of myoblasts. It also stimulates amino acid uptake and protein synthesis in muscle and other tissues.

In addition, HGH has important consequences for protein, lipid and carbohydrate metabolism. In some cases, a direct effect of growth hormone has been clearly demonstrated, in others, IGF-I is thought to be the critical mediator, and in some cases it appears that both direct and indirect effects are at play.

Growth hormone production is modulated by many factors, including stress, exercise, nutrition, sleep and growth hormone itself. However, its primary controllers are two hypothalamic hormones and one hormone from the stomach.

HGH levels dramatically decline with age. By the age of 60 most people will have approximately 80% less growth hormone in their system than when they were 20. Signs of GH reduction include increased body fat, increased anxiety, social isolation, poor general health, and lack of positive well being.

In 1988 Dr. Daniel Rudman discovered that when HGH was administered to his elderly patients, within several weeks they all noticed significant improvement. The benefits included a general feeling of enhanced well being, a reduction in feelings of depression, a decline in fat cells, an increase in lean muscle mass and, after a few months, increased skin thickness and elasticity.

Another important benefit from growth hormone replacement is strengthening of the immune system. Infections decrease, recovery from illness is aided, allergies improve and immune related diseases such as arthritis become less bothersome. The immune system is an important defense against cancer and it seems logical that cancer might, to some extent, be prevented by growth hormone. Dosage:

My opinion is that yes, we still need HGH. There are things that HGH does that IGF does not. If I'm not mistaken, their pathways are very different, aren't they? HGH will lower sensitivity to insulin raising blood sugar while IGF will increase sensitivity to insulin and lower blood sugar. That alone tells me that there's more to HGH than just to convert into IGF. I'm actually looking into getting a script for HGH to control my hypoglycemia. It seems to be the only thing that will work. All my normal doctors have said there is nothing else they can do so I'm going to see an open-minded doctor in January who is willing to try things.
 
Well i always personaly thought after rwading about igf , whats the point of spending so much money on hgh when igf will do the trick for the most part

however i would love to try hgh and igf together since i hear so much good about them combined
 
Having tried both, there is a distinct difference in how they both work. I would venture that HGH isn't converted to only one form of IGF-1. It probably gets converted to many different forms of growth factors, some (more than one) which affect muscle growth.
 
gotcha, the only things that sucks is how long it takes to start feeling hgh
 
Yea, so far my experience with GH is good fatloss, but IGF was really fast muscle gain.

Since Im looking to lean up more I decided to give GH another try.

But for muscle building I would go with IGF for potency, immediate effect and cost.

Two vials of IGF helped me fix my left arm imbalance. That was really great to do in only 60 days.

I remember MARBLE referred to GH/IGF stack like 2+2=3 because HGH secretes IGF and adding extra IGF enhances that effect which makes sense. Fatloss and muscle gain........
 
True. For the money, if you can't afford HGH, IGF would be the way to go.
