Ok so Thursday I was feeling totally run down and depleted but forced a back workout and during the workout I got dizzy and damn near passed out. I was sweating badly so I stopped. Now Last night I just finished working 12hrs and didnt eat or drink proper but forced an arm workout. Started out with close grip bench and it felt great. I did 275lbs for easy 12 reps and stopped that bc my arms felt sooo tight I thought they would rupture. I thought bc I statred IGF again. I went to skull crushers (very heavy but easy). Now I went to cable pushdown and I was reping a light weight when I felt soemthing. I felt like paper ripping in my arm. I stopped and played wirth my arm but it just seemed pumped. I ignored it like an idoit and contiuned for 2 more sets but light. About 15 mintued after I finished, my arm swelled and I iced it and went to bed. Today it is swollen bigtime but no pain or bruise. Did I tear the fascia or muscle just a little. Any guys that have exepierence would be appreciated. Should I stay off arm for 1 week??? I feel like an idiot. I tyhink my body needs a break. Ive been going balls to wall for a while and turned 40, so I think my body is telling me soemthing

Ah yes----- I know where you are - I did exactly the same thing under the same conditions with almost the same exercises.
For me I tore the ligaments in my right bicep. I am 45 and think I can still go like I am 20- my advice is go see a doc and have it examined- preferably a sports doc if you have access to one. Keep us updated.

I've gotten those. Minor tear (strain) give it at least 2 weeks off of pressing movements. Ultrasound will double your recovery speed. After that slowly work into light exercises that don't bother it in the least. Don't make it worse.

The ultrasound is going to be the best thing for recovery. Like they've stated above, you're going to want to get it looked at to determine exactly what it is and just give it a rest so that you don't further the injury

As I like to say..."take a break or your body will take one for you"
