I'm finding out that my hypoglycemia is the main road block to my muscle building. After doing some testing with my meter when I went low, and then consecutive tests (which I normally don't do because of the cost of the test strips), I found that it takes a little while to bring up the level to where I feel "normal" again. Considering that most people when tested 2 hours after a meal will measure around 110-120, I'm testing in the 90s if I'm lucky.
In an experiment to keep my blood sugar up constantly, I'm finding that my muscle is building much faster. Since GH will raise blood sugar, it is no wonder that I was at my largest back in 2007 when I was on it. If I had been able to use it for a year instead of for only 3 months, I suspect that I might have reached my target weight. My heaviest was 214, and I was shooting for 220 at the time. We'll see what happens this time around.
