Is There Anyone Who Is Unsatisfied With Their Progress Using Gear?

I just finished my second cycle and although I have enjoyed my gains, I am a little unsatisfied still. Before using gear, I was under the impression that I would be fucking huge by now. Not so. My diet could have been better, sure, my sleep patterns, certainly, but I would have expected to come along more than I have already. I saw some guy at the gym last night who was much bigger than me (I noticed some d-bol rash on his shoulders and back) and probably in my age bracket and I was thinking, "Fuck, that is where I should be at this point." I was a little depressed after seeing him. Granted, this just fueled my fires to become more strict on my diet and train harder and look excitedly towards my next cycle, but does anyone else share my sentiments?

Well, this is how I think most people feel about taking steroids. B4 starting you have these high expectations that just after a cycle or two you'll be huge...just like you see in the movies or media, right?

Nope, sorry it doesn't happen like that. Everyone reacts differently off of steroids some will gain a little, some will gain a lot, but I feel it all boils down to diet, and dedication. I'm definitely not satisfied with where I am at currently, but my down fall is my lack of dedication in the past. I was up to a respectable weight after my first cycle. ~185-190lbs...I let personal shit going on in my life ruin all my hard work in the gym. I stopped working out, I hardly ate, and all my time spent was wasted in a 4 month period. I had to rebuild from 155lbs at that point. I worked out for a month...then hopped on a cycle. Not the smartest move, but I was able to get back to my starting point b4 all of the crap that happened. I just started my third cycle at about 180lbs. Imagine where I could be at if I never let my dedication go...200lbs 220lbs...hmm, I guess I'll never know. That sucks to think about, but the reality of it is that it happens to a lot of people. Set goals, and follow through.

If you always follow those two things you'll continue to grow and your progress will come with time. Things don't happen overnight. Take it one day at a time.

Also don't compare yourself to others. Just make sure you're doing your best...that's the best a person can do...with that comes success.

I used to weigh @ 170/180 with 10 years of natural training.
1st cycle(no knowledge/winged it)-went to 185 and kept zero.
2nd cycle(little knowledge) went to 195 and ended up at 190.
3rd cycle(decent knowledge) went to 210 ended up at 200
4th cycle(just completed) went to 221 am at 218 and feeling strong. I would like to think that as my knowledge of what to do, how things work etc has increased that my results or what I have kept from a cycle has increased as well.

Good advice, BiggerStronger.

Hear, hear!

I knew going into this thing that steroids were not the magic pill. (not saying you did) but I knew it would take time hard training, big diets, sleep and most of all knowlege.
the way I look at it like this, if I can gain a steady amount every year I will reach my goal in the long run. I also am in this for the long haul.
I started out at 190lbs and after my first 8 week cycle was 214.07 lbs that was last year. guess what?!?
I started this years winter bulker monday and I weighed 210.??lbs so I am only 5 lbs away from my biggest weight last year.
so if I gain up to 230lbs or 240lbs by the end of this one and keep 220-225lbs I will be most happy!!
I figure I will start next years bulker at 220-225 maybe a little more bepending on how i run my aas this year to come.
and I look at it from this angle I am 20lbs bigger that I started out last year !! not to bad if I say so myself !

so it is a slow steady pace for me could I have done this without steroids hell no I would still be 190-195lbs wanting more ! but I am not I am where I want to be at this time !

when I am on AAS there is no choice for me I have to make myself do what needs to be done or I know I will have wasted everthing money, time, steroids, food and for me I can not watse anything !

I hope this helps you in some small way and reboosts the fire you had befor and puts you on a new mission I know I do not know every thing about juice'n diet and all but I strive to learn every day as much as I can

AAS is not a quick fix but it will get you to your goals if used right and with respect and most of all NOT ABUSED !

best of luck to you !

Another good point. Shiko, you are correct in that We are in this for the long haul, at least many of us constantly showing up on this board. My nature, I guess, is that I always want more, which isn't necessarily bad because I am continuously on the hunt, which is why I am planning on my next bulker to be my best yet, because of a greater understanding of how I have to construct my diet. It all takes time, I guess. Indeed. Onward and Upward.

SNDMN,

see that is how you need to look at it ! I want more all the time too do not get me wrong it just takes time thats all !

I was hoping my arms would respond better to some extra testosterone. Very happy with my progress in general, but I want my damn arms to take off, lol

Super sets, giant sets, drop sets, continuous tension training, timed reps, super slow reps....

What did you do differently to keep gains?

Feel the same weigh about my damn chest! You would think that having a pretty decent bench would help, but not really. Flyes seem to be working a little just started them though 3 weeks ago ro so

Post cycle and diet-Started using HGC,ldex, clomid and eating better after a bulking cycle along with creatine/glutamine made a huge difference.

AL,

I found a book that layed out a partial rep routine and I have added size in record time. The Book is called POWER FACTOR TRAINNING and I reccomend it. Try it and you will see it works.
