I'm looking for some advice on what has worked for the last week leading up to a contest. My fiance is 6 weeks out right now from her first competition and we've come across some conflicting info regarding what to do. We went to a contest prep seminar here, but it was rather general in the info provided since they were covering mens & womens BB, fitness and figure. I know Dave Palumbo says figure competitors shouldn't carb up and I know he's considered one of the most knowledgeable experts we have these days. I'd like to hear what has worked for others. She's following a cyclical keto diet right now (one carb meal a week) and has lost a significant amount of fat, so far it's done very well for her. Also what do others do as far as water the last week and diuretic use whether prescription or natural? I've competed in bodybuilding and kept very detailed journals about what I ate, how I trained, diuretic use, etc... I just want to make sure that if there are any differences for women's figure and what I did I know about them. Thanks.
