I've heard both ways, just wondering what you guys do. Say if you bench or do behind the head tricep raises, do you lock your elbows out? I feel that its easier on my elbows if I don't lock them out on each rep.

i dont lock out ever on any movement.i always have to tell my gym partner not too on leg press..its fully loaded and he locks out on every rep.. i think to my self bro u gona have some knee problems doing that shit...funny thing is he told me today he got a hospital appointment cuz his knee is fucked...ive been telling him for 4 years about shit like that..i cant imagine 350kg plus sitting on your knee's and not doing damage over time.im sure cartilage dont grow back once its gone its gone..

Repeated locking out is what causes joint damage IMO. I do it as little as possible..besides does muscular development actually occur when you are locked out?? My answer would be no.

I don't lock out on anything. I do things different from most people though. I've got all kinds of different positions and hand placements and stuff so that its as difficult as possible on the muscle and easy on the joints

Depending on the movement I've noticed that I do unknowingly lockout, bu for the most part I do not. I've never experienced any problems from locking out, but I'd like to keep it that way too so I try to not do it

What about things like peak contraction as such squeezing and locking out on tri pushdowns and leg extentions or kickbacks? I always thought that locking at least on these pushes more blood into the area, better pump and possibly more growth

I never lockout !! I always keep continues stress on the muscle throughout the movement.
