My DNP Journey

So I will begin with my back story.

I was in phenomenal shape 225 lbs at 8% BF till 2004. Then..... I got married.

Over the 10 following years I let myself get out of hand. Up to 315 lbs at my peak. In late 2013 I decided it was enough. I focused piece by piece on my weakness with eating. I adapted a Keto style to regain my insulin sensitivity. Over that time since I have dropped 85 lbs now at a plateau at 230 for 3 months. Time enough.

So I decided to do DNP. I began on Feb 8th. I started at 250 mg for 3 days. On Day 2 I noticed the "heat".
Living in Alaska I figured winter would be and is the best most effective time to deal with that side effect. When I started my high temperature was 9 degrees F. So it would be simple to cool down from the heat.

I have been writing my logs down and recording notes of my DNP use since. But I will gather them and add onto this as my work allows.

Today was 45 degrees if a heat wave and miserable. I couldn't do this in a warmer climate. I'm grateful it's back down to 25 degrees and I can sleep with the window open.

bro i think its an awesome idea if you could share your experiencers with it here for our members!!!

Ok so Day one was nothing. I took the 250 mg. Day 2 I began to feel the heat but more if a warmth. Mind you these days temperature outside was -10 to 10 above it was a welcome thing. Day 3 I upped the DNP to two 250 mg a day morning and afternoon. Then things began going on by day 5. I would start to sweat for the little things. I fortunately wasn't having any of the lethargic feelings yet. But then while the NE gets cold we up here in Alaska get a heat wave. Highs in the 40s which made a big difference in the sweat portions. But I wasn't stopping there. I brought spare shirts and carried a hand towel. I work in a hot fabrication shop so sweating isn't anything unusual.

I have began to drink 3 to 4 gallons of water a day at least. This has allowed me to rinse out the metabolized stuff and stay ahead of the sweating.

My urine has shown much richer color since but staying on top of hydration has done me well.
I have also been maintaining electrolytes. Pumpkin seeds have been a new thing I've added. Plenty of Magnesium, potassium, and sodium for the sweat loss and not a bad snack.

In the beginning of my run I weighed 232. I began to bloat holding water immediately and shot up to 238. I knew this was an effect so it didn't alarm me.

Days 1-3 no diffrence in weight I held at the 238.
Days 4-7 I felt more swollen in my face and fat but my weight had gone down to 236.
Days 8 till present. I am holding water like mad. It's obvious. I have fallen in weight though to 234 and today is day 11.

I am going until the 28th for a 3 week run. I have been doing mild workouts of lifting in the evening. My muscles feel zero pump. Working 12 hour shifts is a tough one on this especially in construction. But I push through nobody said it would be easy.

damn brutha, 12 hour shifts of construction work, and DNP and Training, your a better man than me thats for sure

geez man, I could not do that, talk about drive after my old 12 to 14 hour shifts in fabrication and piping, I could barely hit the gym sometimes, much less push through it all on DNP. You sir are a monster lol.

Believe me it isn't easy. But I have lost 85 lbs already no sense in stopping this train. I'm looking to grow after I get to an optimal BF % between 10 and 15. At work I'll randomly leave doors open. Guys are saying it's cold and I'm calling them out. It's 23 degrees F! If it were summer even thpugh 60s are our normal highs I would be worth much less. It would take a lot more planning for keeping cool. But 20s makes it easier to not feel like screaming "I'm melting"

Fabrication and piping is what I do. Luckily no torqued bolts needed cause that massive wrench would do me in. Tonight I weighed in at 232.6 but still as puffy as ever. So I think my water storage is stuffed and maxed out and niw I'm getting real drop numbers.
Today I consumed 5 gallons of water and urine had color every time. I kept my calories moderate at 1900. I did my fasted kettle bell swings for half hour in the morning prior to work.
No lifting is possible tonight with these rubber Stretch Armstrong arms and legs. I haven't felt like such a weakling since 4th grade during my last growth spurt.

Ha I would be the same way just leaving the doors open, whoops my bad go ahead and leave it open anyways. Glad you are that far up north so you can stay cool, crazy that 5 gallons of water can have any kind of color coming out. DNP always fascinated me, don't think I would have the balls to run it but kudos to you and doing it the right way, watching electrolites etc. Keep us posted man and best of luck to ya. That is good on the torqued bolts specially on gear talk about forearm pumps from hell. That's cool a fellow fabricator, I worked in it for about 8 years with my dad since he ran a company, but got out of it when I started bodybuilding and wanted to be in the AC and be lazy during our hot ass summers so I could actually hit the gym without feeling like death. Took a pay cut but I don't regret it too much.

I'm surprised my hunger hasn't really set in much. I'm not feeling the carbs cravings as well. I'm now down to 227 morning weight.

Did mostly cable work yesterday focused on chest shoulders and core. Getting my next moves ready for my next supplement cycle.

Still at 750 mg a day. It's a balmy 40 degrees and raining.

It always does in Alaska. Usually 20 degree highs with near 0 lows but...

I was living I anchorage for a few years. I noticed how after a while even at 20 or 30 degrees it felt nice and even like -10 was "chilly" at best. Interesting how easily we get used that. However I live in new mexico now and it'll get like 100+ and I'll never get used to that shit

I can't stand the heat bro. I sweat standing around at 70 degrees let alone 100 after a slight drizzle the night before, horrible man. It's like I say when your cold just put on another sweater I can't get much more naked down here without being arrested

lmao, and you guys are nuts!

haha, I live now in a humid and hot state in the summer, normally 20 or so days above 100. Soon to be this year on the coast thought, it will be hot and muggy still, but at least I can take my soon to be ripped body into the ocean to cool off. Now im in the middle of no where and have to take a plunge into a lake lol, I'll take the ocean.
