ok guys here is my offical log for the battle of champions show on Nov. 12th. Im offically decided that this is the show im doing for this year. I know, I said I was done for the year, and was going to focus on Jr.Nationals 2012. But, this Pro/Am show has RxMuscle, and Flex magazine coverage. So it will be good pubicity for anyone in the show. My goal is to win my class and ofcourse the overall. Which I feel, I can do, if im on point, and in shape I know I can be in. I have put on, plenty of solid muscle since the first of this year, and I plan on being at the top of the heavyweights or a ripped to the bone superheavy.

I'll post some updated pics, later tonight.

Starting pics at 14 weeks out

Here are the first set of pics for you guys. Im around 260lbs in these pics, a tad flat. Chest isnt popping, less sweep on my legs, less overall fullness (delts, arms, ect). Just cleaning up my diet, has put my body on fat burning mode. Even today, I feel a tad leaner than over the weekend. My body always responds to dieting, cause im more on point with my diet. (eating 6-7 meals a day, getting my protein in, ect, ect) Cardio, always leans me out fast to, but I have to be very careful not to lose muscle by doing to much cardio, right away. So I will be only starting out with about 20 mins 5 x a week for now, then adjust in the next couple weeks.

Training will be the same, HIT style, lower volume for now. Heavy and intense. As it gets closer to the show, I will back off the intensity, a bit and do more volume. Which just means less going to failure, or drop sets.

Diet for now, will just be a normal pro/carb diet. Around 350 grams of protein per day (60 per meal) and same amount of carbs (60 per meal, 5 meals per day) Post workout, will prob take in a few extra carbs, around 80-100 depending on how tough and intense the workout is. As you can see, I just go by how I feel on diet, until about 8 weeks out, then I will carb cycle the diet. Im going to try not to do a keto diet this time, and see if I can keep more muscle mass overall. But, If I have to do a keto style of diet to get as lean as I need than I will. But for now, its just a pro/carb diet with moderate fats. (from red meat, a few whole eggs, ect)

Example of what I ate today

meal 1 - 2 scp. whey isloate, 2 packs of flavored oatmeal

meal 2- 8oz. lean ground beef, 1 cup rice

meal 3 - same as meal 2

meal 4 - same as meal 1

meal 5 - 8oz. chicken breast, 1 meduim potatoe

meal 6 - Casein shake (50-60 grams of protein)

for right now, I plan on having 2 red meat meals per day. and one or two chicken breast meals. Last meal could be whole eggs to, or the casein shake. I will do this type of meal plan for about 2 weeks, then adjust from there.

Routine of workout schedule

Tues - delts and triceps, abs
thurs - Quads, hams, calfs
Sat - chest, biceps, abs
sun - back, traps, (maybe throw in some extra hamstring work)

looks like u have a little more sweep in ur hammys brutha, very nice!

Just think bro, we could actually be on stage together. This show is gna be awesome....

I thought you were doing a different show then this one chris is doing?

yes, presser its actully the same show. for awhile we didnt even know what the name of the npc show was going to be called beside the Iowa Pro/Am, midwest championships. But the promoter's decided to name the NPC part Battle of Champions...the Pro show is just called the Iowa Pro (pro mens 212, and pro bikini)

Hit delts pretty hard yesterday. Did some triceps to without as much pain as normal. so that is good, I think it is actully getting better. Less pain the last week so Im thinking I can do some chest presses this weekend, instead of just fly movements.

Had a killer HIT style leg worout today. Did leg extensions first, 2 warm ups for 10 reps. Did warm ups on Leg Presses, 2 sets for 10 reps...Then all out set on Leg Extensions at 175lbs for 15 reps to failure, then went straight to the Leg Press and did 810 (plates only) x 15 reps (slow and deep) 5 reps, going only to 90 degree's then back up to the top to hold it for a second.

After that did Lying leg curls (one leg at a time) 2 warm ups for 10 reps, then 1 all out set for 8 + 2 reps (partial reps) each leg. Then straight to the Leg press again, only this time feet high on the plateform. Pushing only with my heels and working on hams and glutes. I did 500lbs for 20 reps (close to failure, but burning like hell)

After that did a couple sets of calf presses, doing slow negative style reps, DC style. 1 all out set for 10 reps, then one high reps set for 30 reps, at normal speed.

also note on diet today. Increased my carbs today by about 20 per meal or so. Felt really flat this morning so focused on getting around 80 each meal, 6 meals today.

today was an off day...did some extra cardio on accident. I was reading the new flex mag, and lost track of time. so I did 45 mins of cardio instead of 20-25 mins. Oh well, less cardio for over the weekend.

note on diet. kept carbs high again today...aiming for around 80 x 5 meals, so 400 grams of carbs today. Should see better fullness tommarow on chest and bicep day. Also, eating 2 meals of red meat today, instead of just one meal. Extra fats seem to keep me fuller. Rest of my protein is egg whites, chicken and whey isolate. Carbs are rice, and oats.
