Well, I think they are early this year went to this gym this morning and it was packed, had never seen more than half of them. I give it a month...tops.

Be on the lookout they are sure to swarm a gym near you.

lol, yeah your more generous then me bro, causei give them 2 weeks tops! lol

I give them a week because once they get sore it's over. People don't know what hard work really is. Little do they know they can better themselves in the kitchen far before they can in the gym

I hate obesity. I was at a friend's gym just yesterday and 2 obese people came in 250+ lbs at like 50% BF...Since my friend was busy, I told them that I do not work here, but I talked with them to encourage them to join...They said yeah we came in to sign up, but we aren't going to join for 2 months...So I, calling their bluff said, well, "hes very good about money, if you want to start now, you can just start for free and just pay the difference in your monthly fee (his gym is 30 dollars per month)..They said, oh no we're not ready to start yet...A few months from now.

So I said, do you have surgery or something else coming up..They said no, you know the Holidays we have a bunch of family gatherings and meals planned, and they stood there and laughed, they were serious...They got prices from him and left. I kept my mouth shut in respect for my friend's gym.

I know they won't be back..Fat people's laziness makes me sick. If it were my gym I'd tell them not to come back. I get this alot with personal training...I literally had a couple meet with me to do a diet and workout plan..and she said, well we can't start this for 2 weeks...I said why not, she literally said, we just stocked up on 200 dollars worth of junk food and we don't want to waste it..I stood up immediately packed my stuff up..They both looked at me startled and said, "where are you going"...I said you cannot hire me, you are going to fail and you are a waste of my time, and I walked out"

Fat people and laziness are 2 things I can't tolerate and it's sad that most fat people are lazy. There are the select few (and I mean few) that actually try to do what they know how to do and I can live with that. If you're at least in the gym on a treadmill you're at least doing something. It may not be working, but it's something and I can respect that, but people who do nothing and have every excuse as to why they can't do something just piss me off.

Here's an example that'll eat you up. My girl's cousin is fucking huge, I'm talking like 5'7" 300# if not more. Anyway her boyfriend is also fat, but not nearly as big as she is. I'd guess and say maybe 240-260 at 5'9", but no muscle all fat. He had a job this past summer working outside and he quit after 2 days because he said he was too fat to work outside because he just sweats all day. Then he got a factory type job and said that it was too fast paced and he couldn't keep up because he was too fat. Anything he can do to not work he'll do and they have an infant together which just pisses me off because he's found every reason to not work.

I think this year will be a little worse than the past few years due to our buddy Marky Mark and the Rock for their bodybuilding theme movie coming out really soon as we'll as Generation Iron movie, these flicks might spark a mini fad with summer fast ly approaching, I hope I am wrong as hell but could see it more and more crowded with a lot of all of a sudden wanna be's............sorta like Tap Out / Affliction crap turned everyone into tough guy fighters. I like our little under ground non mainstream sport, I would hate to start seeing Gaspari and Labrada clothing at Costco / SAMs club

Honestly I don't mind the new people. I wish them the best and hope they stick it out. Imagine if no one quits and gets healthy and health care costs drop and more gym gyms that tolerate bbing because the stereotype stops and the gyms allow chalk back in the gym.

I used to hear a lot "I want to loose some weight before I start working out". WTF???? Its funny when the gyms are
at their most quiet, it is the same few hardcore guys you always see.

I swear by my theory, being that the fact there are more gyms (which is being nice as a lot of these places are really exercise studios lol) 90% preach the fluff stuff, so by this reason alone its easy to see why we still have an obese nation despite the record number of facilities. No one works out anymore....

The only thing I can really think of that I hate about the gym is the New Year's traffic.

well it has started in full force today, gym was packed and didnt recognize any of them. I witnessed a few intersting things.

1. woman couldnt figure out how to rack the leg press with the handles and about squashed herself.
2. same womans fat kid doing 4 plate legs presses while mom videos it, (little fat shit didnt rerack his weights either.
3. man standing on upside down half ball thingy while looking like he was in an iceskaters pose, leaning forward and one foot out behind him.
4. same man as above doing ab crunches with the rope while having his knees on the half ball thing.
5. man doing bench press while doing leg raises at the same time.

Am I the only one here who thinks the ever popular ball is waaay overrated? Wanna work your stabilizers? Hell a set of intense squats will do 10 times more than 20 sets of ball excersises.

I'm not saying the ball is a bad thing, it has its place. But its not what its cracked up to be

I am sitting at like 10-13% bodyfat and feel ashamed for taking a couple weeks off training for xmas. I don't know what I would do if I were 30-60% fat...

I had a client a while back that literally weighed like 350# and they told me that they'd made big progress on their own and just wanted someone to help guide them and I had asked how much they had lost and they said 20#. I so badly just wanted to tell them that the 20# they lost would've been the equivalent of throwing lawn chairs off the Titanic to save weight...

I understand you have to start somewhere, but what do these people think? I mean if I was fat at 200#, I'd consider dieting and getting into shape, but it's like these people think "Well, if I get to 300#, then I'll start something" and just keep putting it off

Now thats entertainment!!! Better not say anything, or they will start to charge xtra for it. lol I'm lucky, I work out
on off hours so wont see most of it. Good thing cus my gym is small and they can screw up not only your workout but
your frame of mind. It will be over soon. lol Like someone said, probably 2 weeks.
