Numbness in fingers

Hey bros, for the past 3 days I've had numbness in my pinky and the tip of the next finger. Does not go away. I did some pretty extreme (for me) stretching of my back/lower back. Do you think that maybe I just pinched a nerve? No pain, just numbness.

i used to have the same problem but with most of my finger tips on my right hand. doc told me could be pinched nerve from my wrist all the way to my neck. i switched jobs and it went away about 3 mounts later. but it was verry anoying....

Like tattoray said, this nerve ties into the spinal cord near your neck, so you could have injured it anywhere along that line. I wouldn't worry about it too much - it will probably be back to normal soon. It would probably be more of a cause for concern if the numbness followed traumatic injury or stress injury (as in tattoray's case). Just be careful to stretch in a controlled manner and not move to the maximum extent of your range too quickly (no jerky motions, etc.). You'll probably be fine in a couple of weeks, but go see a doctor if hasn't resolved in a few.

AutoImmune Diseases will cause this.. It might be worth seeing a Dr

Have you been taking igf. I have read that some people have these problems with it? When I had anxiety attacks that is exactly where my hands went numb. I also have igg which is gamma globulin deficiency and as far as autoimmune diseases go that could have been my cause as well. What kind of work do you do?

I'm happy to help and hope I'm right. Slight deep ulnar nerve injury seems like the most likely thing, but there are any number of causes as others have pointed out. Like I said, I think you'll be fine, but do see a doctor if it doesn't improve - no one here can take the place of a well trained physician who can examine you hands-on.

some say when on a heavy cycle where ur holding alot of water this will happen also due to the added water weight putting pressure on ur bloodflow some how,
