i use to start with incline, then i switched to flat, now (since my incline sucks) im back to incline again. I was my strongest EVER when i did incline first

I did chest yesterday and I did dips as a warm up. I then hit flat bench, db press, cable flyes, iso machines and finish up with db flyes. I read some where Arnold use to finish his routine with flyes to help the chest to expand.

Its always different, but I really like to start with incline cable flyes or cable crossovers. My shoulders tend to take over most chest movements, but when I start with an isolation exercise it seems to "activate" the pecs and I'm able to focus on stimulating them to a much greater extent.

i've tried to go back to flat bench every now and then and it always aggravates my internal shoulders.......i alway start with some kind of inclined press or inc flyes now......the only middle or lower pecs stuff i will do after is occasionally flat db's presses, db flyes, dips, or crossovers......mostly i do the higher incline adjustment on the bench and then a lower incline movement seconds though

i usually pre exhaust with incline and flat flies, 1-2 of each to complete failure, then jump right into working sets of presses

Hmm... I should try incline first. I usually like to do flat... either DBs or in the smith machine.
