Numbers in....If not bad things will happen. There will be caos in the world. Cat's and dog's will be cohabitating. The sky will fall.

I don't know why that's just the way it must be. We have wights at my gym made by Ivanko and some by gold's and I have to make sure if I use an Ivanko on on side Ivanko goes on the other or it offends my sence of balance. Just wierd habits I guess.

I thought I was the only dumb phuker to do this!! lol

I simply won't do a set unless the plates are even on both sides. We have those damned rubber coated plates BUT some are old ones and some are new shiny ones. I SWEAR that the new shiny ones are heavier AND they are not consistent from one plate to the next. I have to use ONLY the old ones. My training partner HATES it.

I also can't use a pair of dumbells if one is locked and the other is not. *shrug*

On the other end of the spectrum, if the machine is fixed (like a seated calf machine), I will not have the same amount of weights on one side as the other. Of course, it won't be uneven because it is fixed but I get asked about it all the time. lol

Oh, and numbers IN - always, when using non-rubber coated plates. It is a commandment as far as I am concerned. ;)

Hey the bench must be strait.... I make sure I strait with the wall and the plates on both sides match.
I think it's called obsessive compulsive disorder. We all have it.:D

Dude, we must be related. lol

I make sure that when I lie down to bench, that the bar is level or even with the tiles on the ceiling. I seem to notice if it is not even and it makes me feel like I am pushing crooked or something.

Just as sure as the earth spins upon its axis, so must the plates be put on NUMBERS IN!
It is the only acceptable way to do it.
And it is also unacceptable to use the 2-1/2's for anyting more than plate spacers.

NO COOKIES!! Anything 5lbs. and under is considered a 'cookie' and cannot be used no matter the exercise.

I have to stop, for instance, if I lay down on a bench for bench presses and joists in the ceiling aren't parallel to my position......bench has to moved

crap like that messes with my concentration

Man, you guys are all messed up! And I thought I was obsessive with the toilet paper hanging to the outside of the roll!

Another rule that MUST be followed:

When loading up, 45's and 25's must be used whenever possible, with 45's being preferable. E.g., if lifting 275, 295 and 315 in that order, 275 must use a quarter on the end, 295 a quarter and dime (do not replace the 25 with a 35, simply add a 10), and 315 cannot be had by adding a dime on top of the quarter and dime, it must consist of 3 wheels on a side.

The above rule is especially true for lifts around 135, and most certainly in the case where an EZ curle (cambered) bar is used (curls, skull crushers, etc.).

On the leg press, any thing less than a 45lb 'er is considered a "cookie". LOL.

On hammer strength press and back machines, 10 lb'ers and below are considered cookies.

Only in VERY exceptional cases is a power rack to be used with a weight less than 135.

DB's less than 20lb are to be used for rotator cuff exercises only. Exceptions are well-endowed women (natural or otherwise) doing DB presses or flies.

There should be no 35s in any gym they just take up space on the weight rack. If you put a 35 on my bar I'll be taking it off and replacing it with a 25+10.
35s are evil and must be elimminated.

OK - I don't get it. Help me out. Why are 35's so evil? Not to say I could use one, anyway.

Because there always needs to be at least one even number on the plate...like [4]5, [2]5, 1[0], all have even numbers, 35 dows not. Just one of the unwritten laws of the universe.
