If I were looking to saponify 2 grams of estradiol benzoate using a 4molar equivalent solution of NaOH at 0.5M strength, how many grams of NaOH in how many mls of water would I use?
Thanks
Ok I havent been in chemistry class in a quite sometime but saponify means to convert= and NaOh is sodium hydroxide......since I dont quite understand the questio I will just use what I know about NAOH aplication and thats that in the medical community drugs contain an average of 0.9% NAOH per ML of drug. So if I was to add it to 2 grams of anything I would add 10-20mg to any 2 gram amount into 20ml's of water.
However I dont know what your try to yield. Sorry I
