Anyone do this. The gym I used to work out at had every trainer doing it. I suspect they were trying to boost protein sales too. I have read some pros and cons to it. Opinions?
Maybe I'll have to give one of those a shot and see how it does for me. I just don't want to end up feeling sick or throwing up. (I've done both before)protein during is completely up to the individual but typically "intra" workout products contain free form aminos so they don't sit in the stomach and are quickly entered into the blood stream. A perfect example is VPX's Power Shock it's designed for intra workout consumption and contains free form aminos and is easily absorbed doesn't sit in the stomach at all.

A decently large meal 1-2 hours before training...high in carbs and protein is what ya need. You want to take advantage of your natural insulin response...same principals as PWO nutrition.
During your workout sip on BCAA's with some citruline malate mixed in if you like. Xtend is a good pre made formula...I make my own with bulk BCAA's and cit. mal. mixed in crystal light and water, much cheaper.
You dont want all that protein sitting in your gut during your workout.
Increased endurance, pump and vascularity...and it also helps make the bcaa powder taste decent it has a tart taste to it and really hides the flavor. What's the benefit of citruline malate?
