as most of you know my wife is pregnant, 8 months pregnant actually and the baby is due Feb. 6th.

So this weekend we go to the hospital to pre-register and then head home to do some work on the house. I'm in the backyard and cleaning up a bit and I've got the hose out and putting things away for the winter and my wife is standing on the deck with my Boxer. A glance over at her a few times and she's talking to the dog and looking around enjoying the mild weather. I continue to hose down the backyard and I hear a something big break, I turn around saying," are you OK?" and my wife is gone. She fell down the stairs, off the deck with a clay pot in her hands. The pot breaking was what I heard and I ran over to find her on her ass, thank God she turned in mid air and took the fall on her arm and side.

I got her up and into the house and she didn't feel the baby moving and she started to get nervous so I called the Doc and he said get her to the hospital to be monitored now.

Rushed her to the hospital and we got her hooked up and the babies heart beat was fine and all of her signs were normal. Scared the shit out of us but thankfully everything is fine except for my wife's wrist and elbow but she been icing them and elevating. She can't take ibuprofen and tylenol isn't really doing much for her and it doesn't help with the inflammation.

the good news is that i know I can make it to the hospital in under 15 minutes when I'm in a hurry! :)

Hey, the kids tough. Smack her and tell her to be careful - that's what I'd do (hope
my wife dosent read this) You can look at it as a heads up to be careful. Happy
everything is OK. Take it from me, falling down the stairs can happen to any of us.
Arn't you due in Feb.? She must be getting pretty big by now.

damn man scary shit glad everythings ok i prob would have had a heart attack on the way.

mikey, its only appropriate to hit pregnant women up through the first trimester. From then on, its open hand slaps only. :)

Im j/k, I dont beat women. Just pimpslap hoes for business purposes.

That's great news Mike, I would have been scared shitless too. I'm do glad your baby is OK. You and your wife be safe, please, I want to hear nothing but good things from you man.

That is great that they are both OK. I know how you feel. My wife fell with our first and it scared us to death.

thanks bro, yeah she's pretty big, baby comes in 4 weeks

That makes me laugh - I remember when we were down to the last week or
two - All of the sudden the reality sunk in and I wanted to send it back.lol
When we got home from the hospital we sat my daughter down and just
looked at her in awe. I commented that the hospital was a bunch of
idiots to send her home with us - we didn't know what the hell we were
doing. I honestly said that.
Funny note, when they first brought my daughter to my wife to try to
breast feed for the first time, I started shooting out all this advice. The
nurse commented on how I knew my stuff and my wife was shocked on
how much I knew. I didn't tell them the night before (when we were at
the hospital waiting in the room and my wife was sleeping) I watched one
of the hospital channels on breast feeding just to see some titty!! I guess
some of the info sunk in. Keep us posted, I'm excited for ya Mikey

WOW...mike that is scary. I'm glad everything turned out...tell her to be careful. And Mcgaret...I love how you found a way to turn watching titty on TV into being helpful to your wife...I need to work on that one.
