as most of you know my wife is pregnant, 8 months pregnant actually and the baby is due Feb. 6th.
So this weekend we go to the hospital to pre-register and then head home to do some work on the house. I'm in the backyard and cleaning up a bit and I've got the hose out and putting things away for the winter and my wife is standing on the deck with my Boxer. A glance over at her a few times and she's talking to the dog and looking around enjoying the mild weather. I continue to hose down the backyard and I hear a something big break, I turn around saying," are you OK?" and my wife is gone. She fell down the stairs, off the deck with a clay pot in her hands. The pot breaking was what I heard and I ran over to find her on her ass, thank God she turned in mid air and took the fall on her arm and side.
I got her up and into the house and she didn't feel the baby moving and she started to get nervous so I called the Doc and he said get her to the hospital to be monitored now.
Rushed her to the hospital and we got her hooked up and the babies heart beat was fine and all of her signs were normal. Scared the shit out of us but thankfully everything is fine except for my wife's wrist and elbow but she been icing them and elevating. She can't take ibuprofen and tylenol isn't really doing much for her and it doesn't help with the inflammation.
the good news is that i know I can make it to the hospital in under 15 minutes when I'm in a hurry!
