Wow... was doing some lateral raises... and at one point my left shoulder popped.. and i had a loss of strength... gets sore when i rotate my arm and shoulder different ways.... happened on monday, but today was able to do light dumbell bicep curls... some forearms.... but not much else... shit hurts at night too...

giving it a couple of days for the pain to lighten.... no bruise, no contusions, no lumps... just sore and it seems like a deep issue.. nothing surface.. almost like tendons.... i was afraid to do shrugs.. thought it would dislocate my shoulder

Take some time off the shoulder and let it rest. Dont push it. Your shoulder goes out
of commision you are pretty much screwed. I'v had it where loading a machine for
legs was too hard on my shoulder. Squats were out of the question because I
couldn't grab the bar in that position. If it feels better just moving it, try real light
weight. If that bothers it rest some more. Mabey its minor. Mine "popped" once
doing heavy behind the neck presses and it was so bad I couldn't do barbell bench
for about a year and a half. Take it slow. (easier said then done!!)

Def. take some time off...shoulder goes out, so does everything else unfortunatly. Mine was hurting for some time, so I went to get it x-rayed, nuthing really wrong with it, just a lot of stress put on it, I cant even work out shoulders, ill just do some very light rotator cuff exercies to help it out a bit.

sounds like you should just end it..another sad day for MC, RIP Stickler you will be missed...say hi to our brother Nair in BB heaven

my shoulder hurts as well & it SUX! i have scare tissue build up from injuring it sometime & have no clue when it happened...happened a while back because the muscle is growing over the scar tissue...its a bitch to do anything like incline press or military presses...once my shoulder loads up with blood it wants to pull forward & i constantly have to keep my arm pressed against my back to keep it stretched so i can finish my workouts!!!`

your right... I quit!

:finger: ass! lol .... the pain is slightly going away, but it still hurts.. did bi's today, just keep everything isolated... but my strength on the left side is way down... will do legs tomorrow, then back, ... and if all seems ok, will hit chest.. then try shoulders again.... i figure that's plenty of rest time before i hit shoulders again..

.... ya know what bro... kiss my :moon:

lol.. j/k...

Yep, rest is pretty much a necessity with shoulder injuries. I pulled a shoulder muscle a few years back, and even now, I still have to be careful not to do it again. If I even feel the slightest strain, I stop doing that exercise immediately and switch to something else. Rehabilitation exercises plus light weights going slowly concentrating on form helped immensely when I was injured.

I was having a good bit of pain in my shoulder for a while, so I went to the doc to get a x-ray, and he didnt see anything really wrong with it, but just told me the only thing I could do to help it was to stop working out for about 2 weeks, year right, lol. But in between sets ill do some real light weight rotator cuff exercies and it seems to help.

it's feeling better already.... then again, i'm taking a light pain killer and anti-inflammatory.... i've been sleeping great, and as we all know.. good sleep promotes growth.. so the better i sleep the better i repair, and sooner or later i'll be fine... seems to be getting much better alot quicker than anticipated...

ok.. so it's been 10 days.. i still feel it... but i now am a little nervous to do certain exercises that will utilize the shoulder... it's not painful really anymore, just uncomfortable... i need to actually do shoulders soon ... and i'm going to try back tomorrow..

it's just now i feel frustrated like my workouts aren't 'stressful' enough and it doesn't burn enough anxiety/stress away..... WTF ... i'm irritated... and don't want to actually do SERIOUS damage to myself.. i just wanna lift hard and leave.... get bigger and stronger... period.

Yeah, that shit takes forever to heal. Even a strain takes time just because of the poor blood flow to that area. Concentrate on rotator cuff exercises at least a couple or three times a week, high reps, very low weight. I do them while I'm watching tv. I know it can be frustrating, but it really does just take time. Don't be impatient or you can really fuck your shoulders up. I dislocated my left shoulder a while back, when I was doing wide-grip hammer bench, I had 5 wheels on each side, banged out six reps no problem. I was feeling great that day. Then went over to do incline dumbell presses, and grabbed the 50's to warm up, and my left shoulder slid out of socket and my arm collapsed onto my chest with the dumbell. Then when I leaned forward to put the weight down, it popped back into place. I was suckin wind and trying to keep a straight face all the way to the locker room.lol Not a fun experience. Took about a year to get back to somewhat normal. So I do warm up my shoulders thoroughly and make sure I have a lot of blood pumped into their before I try anything too heavy.
