the stalker retard keeps doing this and it's fuckin annoying as hell.

Yesterday he's on the cables, the thing is like 6 feet high, he pulls the pin out and lets it drop to the bottom, making a loud ass noise.
He drops dumbbells fom about 3 inches from the rack, he slides plates on the smith machine so they clack as loud as possible...
I think he thinks it makes him look like a badass..

If you do this shit, dont.
 
I know what you mean and I hate that too. These dudes think that people will think they are doing lots of weight if they slam it down real loud.
 
If im not slamming weight around im not working out, LOL....

make a complaint to the staff....confronting him will only backfire on you (and staff will talk to you instead)....this happened to me when i blurted out to someone doing the same thing "what the f@#$ is your problem banging shit....you're not even big or strong....stop it and grow the f@$# up"......yep, i got called into the gym office and warned (but that's anytime fitness....they can kiss my f'n ass!!!)

I dont think I mind people dropping shit as much as I hate when someone stands in front of me to stare at themselves in the mirror.
 
I drop weight on certain exercises like doing dumbbell presses, but other than that I try not to bring any attention to myself. My gym is not one that would really ever care, but I just don't want the attention
 
I can understand dropping dumbbells on the rubber floor, but I hate when they slam down a bar on the preacher curl bench and you get that loud metal on metal sound.
 
No I dont mean like that Big, if you are doing some heavy ass DB's and you need to drop them thats understandable, however if yu are reracking them and just drop them from 3 inches before you should to make people lok your way your a jackass. Im pointing out the unnecassary shit to get attention, not working out until your body gives up and u have to drop it, 2 way different things
 
I lift in my own gym....and when I lift outside that, it's in a private gym that a buddy of mine owns, so I don't have to deal with jack asses.

Besides, I'm a bit loud at times when I'm psyched and that is clearly and in the light of day a etiquette violation in most public gyms. If someone complains in my gym, I can just boot em out!

No one ever complains...probably because we also have a recovery section with an open bar!
 
I'm usualy too busy training to notice what other people are doing with the weights= I might be the asshole banging shit. Stupid headphones.
 
I don't hear too much because my headphones are on full blast, but I do know what you're saying Metal. There's some guys around here that will bench like 50# dbs and make sure they clank them together at the top to the point where they bounce away from each other almost uncontrollably.
 
I cant think of anyone in my gym that does this, but I also wear my headphones and try not to pay too much attention. I also train at different times, so maybe that helps
 
No matter where you go your gonna run into these guys, ive moved 3 times in the last 3 years and every gym i go to someone is there that just pisses me off. If its not the guy screaming his ass off leg pressing 450 lbs its the guy deadlifting 225 and dropping it from the lockout position. There is no point in this, the only thing it does is get them attention, which is what they are after. I wear headphones and still hear this shit, but its not my place to step in and say something, thats where management should come in. Just go on about you workout and do what i do, laugh and shake your head, that will usually embarrass them into stopping.

Or just go beside them and do the same exercise with more weight
 
It's usually the guys who arnt big and who arnt strong who are slamin there 30 lbs. There's this fat kid who always wears really tight sleavless underarmor shirts with his bitch tits popping out who always flexes and slams shit. I hate people who haven't put in the time and work who act like ducebags
