Ok guys I went for a bout with sleeping for a long time. Even though I would sleep I wasn't doing down deep enough. Went to famly docs, nuro's, clinics, spent 1000's with no insurance. I was afraid that I had a major major ploblem with my legs as they hurt like hell for about 7 months straight. Had to take prescription Loritab (50mgs/day) for the pain everyday it was so bad. It got so bad that I was diagnossed as homicidal by a shrink. Turns out the anti-psycotic Seroquel that they gave me to take at night knocked me out so deep that the next day for the first time in 7 months the pain was completely gone. Dropped the loritab cold turky and have been pain free ever since. I had forgotten a long time ago what it felt like to get a good nights sleep. It has truley brought my health back and I dream like crazy now in my sleep.

I tried all the newer sleep meds, ambien, lunesta, ect and none of the touched me. I have friends that ownes their own stressful business as do I who had the same problem sleeping (they didn't have the pain though) and a very small (50mg. dose) knocked them right out also. If anyone has the same problem ask your doctor about seroquel but believe me DO NOT TAKE OVER 50 MGS. I am prescribed almost a gram a day but most people WILL fall asleep on that and never wake back up.....death can occur and not all doctors know everthing. Also never take with any types of anti-anxiety meds.
The down side is without insurance monthly scripts run about $800 a month. If the next day you are drowsey you don't need it. I wake up refreshed after 6 deep hours. I hope this will help someone here that has very very bad sleep problems that are causing health related issues.......peace

You ever try getting over the net out of USA. Canada, India ect.... Prices sometimes
are less then 1/2. If you have a script you can get a 90 day supply leagaly. It is a
shame but we get screwed BIG TIME here in the U.S. by U.S. companies.

I get restless leg syndrome from time to time, but it never made my legs hurt. There's probably something else going on.

could you describe the pain? Is it in your quads? Is it the kind of feeling you get like the day after a massive quad workout and the quads feel weak and have a strained sort of pain when you try to use them?

i got it too. doesnt bug me but bugs my girlfriend.

i doesnt keep me up at all. if anything it helps rock me to sleep. :D

as if my snoring alone wasnt bad enough.

Not to change the subject too much, but has anyone tried Melatonin to help with sleep? I got some today after reading that it may increase GH in addition to helping get a more restful nights sleep.

benydril or however the f*k its spelled helps most people sleep, doesn't touch me though. My leg pains are from walking and climbing ladders all day long I guess. Only thing I know is rest takes the pain away. I have since met a couple more people that have said when they take a sleep aid their legs ache before it puts them down. Honestly I nor 7 doctors know exactly what is wrong. If I stand still for more than 2 hours my back starts hurting. As we know all that shit is connected. Anyway its not rls but rather than give a damn I'm going to try and cycle through it. I've been out of the gym now for about a year, thats why I'm back on-line, for the support. oH YEA and I just got out of a long ass relationship so like all the bitches do,,,,,,,,,,I wanna look good again. Peace

have you tried shoe inserts or more supportive shoes? or workboots, my buddy had terrible pain in his legs and back all the time and after spending some good money on a good pair of workboots alot of the pain went away, he was a roofer too

I have no idea why they ache, when I take a sleeping pill they start hurting much worse, when I get jacked on caffine the pain seems to go away. I'd love to know the cause, I've researched my butt off and it doesn't seem to be anything simple. It really has nothing to do with work as I've laid in bed for a solid week with no relief. I also have extremely cold feet. I've almost gone into insanity over it. I think it began with a slight nervous break down. They though I was anemic but the 3rd blood test said I wasn't.....$700 later. I can't hardly stand to go to the doctor cause anymore if you even mention the word pain they throw you out practically. I've had to go to the emergency room 4 times over this as it was so bad I could barely walk. Muscle relaxers do nothing. A mild opiate or a deep nights rest works everytime though.
