Any of you guys use Soy. I just came form costco and they no longer had
a real good protien I was getting from them but now had EAS. I checked it
out and one of the main protiens was SOY, ahead of the whey.
Just asking cus I stay away from soy as it is a estrogen promoter. I know
it is cheap and all the vegetarian types love it but I wouldn't touch it.
What is your take on soy.

I stay away from it myself bro, a little chocolate soy milk once in awhile is enough for me but at a protein supplement I wouldn't recommend it.

well its not a complete protien by itself but I'm currious where everyone gets this thing about soy protien being an estrogen promoter. HOW DOES A PROTIEN INCREASE NATURAL PRODUCTION OF ESTROGEN? I spoke to a sprots medical doctor about that notion and in his words were: "oh come on."

This may sound a little odd, but I think that if you take soy protein, I believe it will keep your body from aromatizing extra test as much because there would be more of what the body believes to be estrogen--thus the ratio is more in balance, but you have a higher level of test without as many bad side effects.

all I know is that a friend of mine who has never been "on" or taken anything for that matter, developed gyno and his doctors told him flat out that it was from all the soy he drank. His wife loved it and thought it was good for him so he used it on his cereal, in his coffee etc. all the time.

hahaha, now thats fucking funny. I was raised on soy milk--from formula to present day and I have yet to grow ovaries, tits or anything else for that matter. COmmon sense tells us NO here fellas

I gotta agree with mike - I will try to find and post info. I have heard bad things for
years and a few months ago our main newspaper had a big article on the negitive side
of soy. They were worried about boys raised on soy having trouble with sperm count
among other things. The gyno thing is possible - some guys are sensitive to it and
some are not, just like when on. Some guys will get it on low dose and some have no
problem with very high dose. Like I said - I'll try to find and post info.

i just avoid it because its a crappy protein relative to most others. eggs, dairy, and even meat proteins have a high BV than soy.

I think the estrogen promotion thing is crap too. If you get estrogen related problems, it aint from the soy protein you are taking.
