Taking this week off to let my body heal

I still have some strains in my forearms and my pec is still not 100% so Im going to take off from the gym the rest of this week and maybe some of next aswell.
 
A week's rest will surely help. You're smart to listen to your body. The last thing you want to do is aggravate an injury by pushing it too fast.
 
You're smart, I wish I could've done the same, I may have saved my arm. What I thought was simply biceps tendonitis turned out to be a stress fracture that turned into a pretty severe fracture in my humerus and I really wish as soon as I started to feel the pain I would've rested and allowed my body to repair
 
Smart move. Its easier to say "I should've" than to take the break you know you need.

I usually use a vacation or something like that for a longer "break" but every 4th week I do a deload week and just do lifts with 50-60% of my 1RM. It has really helped me.

I can't do that. The only way for me to take a break is to go out of town....

haha, I cant lie. This week I did workout, but didnt do back, or bi's, which hurts my arms the worst. Good call on me. haha :D
