What do you guys think of soy beans?

Personally having spent some time in the dairy industry, I don't use milk.... its not everything they say it is because of the processing. I only use soy milk..
Think about this..if milk is everything they say it is (vitamins, minerals, CALCIUM) why then do we in America have so much Osteoporosis and other bone related diseases? Some People in their early 20's are showing signs of osteoporosis.
 
The dairy I worked for was 1 of the few that did produce an organic milk..Only the fields of what the cows ate made that possible..Raw milk was so much better, but our phucked up govenment put the fear of god in people about it because some people got sick from it..Let's see..to me that is natures perfect food...Not to mention none of our cows were ever shot up with RBGH to make them produce more milk, so they could eventually end up with mastitis,( infection of the udders) and then that is treated with ,yes you guessed it ANTIBIOTICS...Gee, I wonder where all that crap ends up when we drink milk? Antibiotics? Cancer? Diseases? the list goes on and on!

I am with ya Heck....got a phone number or addy for the organic milk joint you worked for?

Antibiotics should be banned. Of course there efficacy is declining as the window of bugs they treat is rapidly closing.
 
Hey SS, don't have the number.they are in LA.Socal...Go to google and plug in rbgh and see what our govenment and monsanto company is trying to hide from us...In case you weren't aware, monsanto is the same company that manufactured Agent Orange for the Vietnam War...They are so consumer friendly, I could puke!
 
I am very familiar with Monsanto-I am sad to say in the industry I am in they have a pretty good product that is somewhat enviro friendly.
However I recall watching a newspiece on Monsanto by "60 Minutes" where they have ruined a water supply in some fairly rural town in Alabama about 2 years ago. They are facing a huge lawsuit, actually I think they may have settled.
 
I'm sure they do SS. But the two phrases( somewhat enviro friendly) and (may have settled a lawsuit) Leaves the playing field wide open...I'm not ripping everything they do...just what I am aware of..All we as people can do is educate ourselves and not always believe what the people upstairs tell us.

yeah, I am ripping them by the way. I was really pissed when I saw the 60 minutes piece...I mean they were just dumping shit in a waterway.
I have tried using their competitors products but I am sad to say they just don't work to well. However the patent did expire on their product "Round-up" last year so the field is wide open. As soon as one of their competitiors has a product as good as theirs I will avoid Monsanto.
 
I use alot of soy products. I used to drink soy milk alot, but switched to rice milk a couple of years ago. I find that soy gives me gas. Regarding soy as a protein source, especially in shakes, I had heard that it wasn't nearly as good of a protein source as whey.
 
I like black beans on top of rice emm lots of carbs and protein easy meal.
I usually sauté some garlic in olive oil and add some spices to the beans.
 
I have family in that town in S. Alabama also north Florida. Theres gonna be a HUGE payout. My cousin is looking at somewhere in the nieghborhood of 10-20 million$$$ yea--unbeliveable
they'll go from a single wide trailer on a dirt road to.........a double wide.


Funny thing is Monsanto was the only work for those people up there.
