hams then quads, anyone else split the two up so u have 2 leg days? I personaly have found it to be the best way to grow legs by far, my question is this, what exercises do u do ur splits with

Split it up into a Quad day and a Hams/Calves day.
Quads - Squats, Leg Press, Leg Extensions, Single Leg Extensions
Hams - Stiff legs, Seated Leg Curls, Standing Single Leg Curls, Ad/Abductor
Calves - Whatever I feel like doing

I like to do this too but puts me at 6 days which gets to be tiring. I try to do this at least once a month. How do you guys work it in, do you double up other body parts?

Thats the only way I can walk by splitting them in two workouts! I split pretty much the same as teedubgee. And calves when ever I feel they need it.

I want to return to doing this. I did get my best results when i was splitting them up. Right now i just dont have the time.

hey, how do you guys achieve this btw?

You need a good 3 days atleast in between quads, and hams. Then some stuff hits both, so whats your workouts look like?

I don't think I've ever split them up or if I have, then not for very long. Leg size has been difficult for me so maybe splitting it up will help.

true, but form and range of motion play into that.

on one of my DC leg days, I do high leg press for hams, then "regular" press for quads. I use two different leg presses in my gym...they look the same but certainly dont feel the same and arent the same. One puts me at an awkward angle, but it really hits my hams more. So I put the seat up all the way cause my body to lean forward and target the hams more. I only do the bottom half of the lift, any more and Im hitting quads (I can feel it pretty easy when I go up to far).
on the other press, the seat is lowered all the way, my legs are alot lower and more narrow, and I go down just past parallel to keep the weight targeted on the quads. with each of these movements, I feel the weight working my target area mainly.
Takes alot of mind-muscle connection, which we should all have by now.

Never even thought of spliting legs. Would be a good way to concentrate on them.
My hams are laging compared to quads and calfs. Mabey I'll try them on seperate
days.
