do you feel any pain shooting down your legs ?

also have you done any HEAVY seated shoulder presses, you could also have a cracked tail bone.

My back is screwed up. I have a disc out of place in my lower back and it feels like you described. After leg day for a day or two, I get the pain down one leg also.

Chiropractor? Man, I'd go to the doc, it sounds really painful.

yep same here. I have a herniated disc in my lower back. A couple I believe and it hurts like hell sometimes just the way you described. After a set of heavy dead lifts (505lbsx8) I actually lost all feeling from my back down. Completely numb and tingly...after I was able to feel my legs and back it was very painful and kind of a burning/tingling sensation. You should go to the doctor and get an MRI to make sure you didn't rupture a disc. Once you damage your spine like that you never really fully recover. You just work around it and try not to irritate it too much.

Yeah Im holding out for the doctor though, injuries are common in strongman...
!
very true, get used to injuries in strongman.
A good chiro might be able to help - and he might take an x-ray and say he wont touch you. Then its to another dr. and another x-ray

hey, that knot is water. I've got those before. Its a strain. But you should go to the doctor.

Btw, i've hurt my back plenty of times. It will heal.

It should be "who dosent have back issues!!" - I dont go to the Dr. for anything -
I think I would in your case. Find out what and how bad it is especially if you wish
to still be competing. Better not to be bull headed and make it worse or to the point
you NEED surgury. Keep us posted bro.

Just last month, after doing squats in the gym the very next day at work, ( fed ex ) i bent over to lift a heavy box and i felt a pop in the same place u said, lower left back right next to the spine. Along with the pop was numbness all the way down to my feet. Went to the hospital and they didnt do shit, told me it was a sprain'd muscule. Went to my Doc. and she sent me for a mri. which thank god they found nothing. Took Flexeril for about 10 days and with 1 week rest out of work, a heating pad and 2 weeks on light duty, i am finally back at work and have been back to the gym 1 1/2 weeks but going very light for conditioning... The outcome is it was pulled muscule, close to the spine. It felt alot worse then what it was..Def go get a mri done then youll know from there.... I feel for you bro..

I am a great on to tell you to see the Dr. but I'm the last person to go. Whenever
I get hurt everyone thinks I'm crazy for not going to the hospital and still trying to
work out. We are definitly a hard headed bunch. Keep us posted.

I was so young when mine happened and was in such good shape that the doctors didn't believe me until he felt my spine. The doctor wasn't very reassuring with his it's probably a pulled muscle excuse. The doctor gave me the exact same thing and I left. My HMO wont let me get another MRI so I'm screwed until something really bad happens. lol.

I've decided to pull out of my competition for Saturday,.

very wise grasshopper. it would be a shame to see someone with such potential in strongman permanently injure themselves.

Your to be the next pudzianowski

yeah B2S give us an update on the back bro... just a few weeks back I was holding the baby and turned my head to cough and I threw my back out. It was like a charlie horse in my entire lower back and it cramped up on me. It hasn't been right since!
