For example on leg day on quads. I start with extensions for a warmup, then squats, then presses. So in your opinion I should switch to Squats, then presses then kill it extensions.
 
You want to warm the muscle up so you don't tear something, just stay light and get the blood moving. Obviously the more reps/sets you do, you're going to get fatigued. So if you go balls out the first few sets, you're going to fade fast, that's why you want to do what nuk nuk recommended. You wouldn't want to do lunges and extensions first then do squats and presses.
