Poor Randy!!! What sportsmanship though... that was really great that he and Machida showed each other so much respect. Hate to see a Hall of Famer go out like that, but his words and actions are nothing short of a champ. Congrats to Machida!

Hominick is a rockstar... that kid rolled through 5 rounds, never giving up. I'm SO glad they didn't stop the fight prematurely. That egg on his head though... oh man. And his wife is 9 months pregnant? Poor woman... that was certainly a great showing. Battle til the end...

And of course, my boy pulled out his boxing skills and secured the W! That was nerve-wracking, but Shields looked like he was going to shit himself in the first 3 rounds. When GSP threwdown (literally!!), I was like "oh shit!!" Don't mess with the champ and his belt!!! You could tell GSP wasn't 100% pleased with himself... hope his eye is okay! I was getting concerned seeing him crack under the pressure between rounds a bit there.

Shields really seemed star struck or something for the first 2 rounds for sure. I don't know why he never truly tried to pull guard though. That's his strength and he never even tried to go to it.

I was 4 out of 8 lameness... Shields didnt even try to take gsp down really, I think like 1 or 2 times maybe, my poor Randy, that was a sick ass kick though, and I like homminick, but I just like Aldo better so I was really happy with that fight

GSP stuffed a few takedowns, but yeah... Shields didn't really try much. He looked really goofy and uncertain those first couple rounds. He came into the last round looking for vengence, but still wasn't enough. They both seemed a bit unsure to fully engage or fearful of getting tangled and caught with something.

Yea, that whole last round I thought for sure Shields would try to pull guard, but everytime they clenched, he didn't even try to do anything productive. He just really seemed out of his element
