Big Ramy Shares Prep Videos Leading Up To 2021 Olympia
Big Ramy exposed videos of routines leading up to the 2021 Olympia.
Heading into the 2021 Olympia, there was one name to beat. Reigning champion Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay entered Orlando as the favorite to repeat and was viewed as unbeatable by some. Well, that proved to be true as Big Ramy is now a two-time champion on the sport’s biggest stage.
Big Ramy entered the weekend just over 300 pounds, which was revealed during the Olympia press conference. He did plenty of work to build his muscular physique to championship level and he did the same work with his routines.
Leading up to the competition, Big Ramy made sure to perfect his posing routines. This is important on the night of the finals and Big Ramy put on a show once again. He perfected his craft by performing three posing sessions everyday. The first came after cardio and before breakfast. Dennis James posted the first routine to his Instagram page.

Big Ramy was able to beat out Brandon Curry for the second-consecutive year. Curry, who was crowned champion in 2019, continues to be one of the best competitors in the world. The work that Big Ramy has put in has put him at the top of the game.
This was apparent on his Instagram page leading up to the Olympia. James has been training Big Ramy and together, the two built a physique that is going to be difficult to beat for years to come. This is the goal of the Egyptian bodybuilder and it could happen by continuing the proper work in the gym.
Dennis James is a former IFBB professional bodybuilder. He competed in eight Olympia competitions, finishing as high as 4th in 2003. His last Olympia appearance came in 2010 and his final competition was the 2012 Masters Mr. Olympia in 2012. James put together a string of two victories in 2009 at the Tampa Pro and the Europa Super Show.
Now that he has transitioned, James has a strong competitor in Big Ramy. He really burst onto the scene in 2017 after winning the Arnold Classic Europe and finishing second at the Olympia. He first competed on the biggest stage in 2013 and has now taken over.
Big Ramy has claimed that he will continue to defend his title for years to come. This is not surprising given his current success and the notion that he will be impossible to defeat. One thing we know for sure if that Big Ramy will put in the necessary work leading up to competitions and that is something that will keep his conditioning at the level it needs to be.

Nick Walker On Olympia Finish: ‘5th Place To Me Is A Loss’
Nick Walker was unhappy with his finish at the 2021 Olympia and will make improvements heading into next year.
It was quite a year for Nick Walker. He took home the prize at the New York Pro and this qualified him for the 2021 Olympia. Just two weeks before the biggest competition of the year, Walker won the Arnold Classic and had all the momentum heading into Orlando.
Walker made an impression right away because of his insane mass and conditioning. This was apparent once again on the Olympia stage and this led to him being part of the top five during announcements on Saturday night. Walker took home fifth place while Hunter Labrada finished fourth. Of course, Big Ramy repeated as champion followed by Brandon Curry and Hadi Choopan.
For Walker, he is not satisfied with this placing at the Olympia despite being in the top five.
“5th place to many is a huge accomplishment. 5th place to me is a loss…. a loss that I will make sure with this whole year of training never happens again. I know what needs to be improved and I know what needs to be fixed.”
Nick Walker oozes confidence and that was shown after winning the Arnold Classic. Walker believed he was going to make it three-for-three at the Olympia and this is the mindset competitors must have heading into competition, especially going up against some of the other best in the world.
Walker references what needs to be fixed. He does not say anything specifically but he claims that he knows and will make the necessary changes to finish higher in next year’s competition.
This was Walker’s first big year as a professional and it was a good one. He picked up two victories at the biggest shows outside of the Olympia. It is clear that Big Ramy is the class right now and that is the level that Walker will shoot for. Big Ramy entered the Olympia weighing over 300 pounds of solid muscle. This was enough to win another Olympia and he has made it clear that he will continue to defend his title.
Nick Walker is just getting started and will continue to be a force in Men’s Open. It will be exciting to see the changes that he makes to improve his physique further and place higher in the Olympia.

Brandon Curry Has ‘Zero Regrets’ After Second-Place Finish At Olympia
Former champion Brandon Curry made a statement after finishing second at this year’s Olympia.
It has not been too long since Brandon Curry was hoisting the trophy in the air after winning the 2019 Olympia. He reached the pinnacle of bodybuilding and was looking to stay at the top. While he has been one of the best in the sport since that night, Curry has been defeated two years in a row now.
In 2020, Curry finished second to Big Ramy at the Olympia. The 2021 competition is now complete and it was the same fate for Curry. During prejudging, it was clear that Curry and Big Ramy were the top two and it would make for an interesting battle come the final.
After a second-straight silver medal, Curry took to Instagram to make a statement and say that he will be back better than ever.
“2021 was another one for the history books!I gave it my best and managed to pull off a 2nd place battle against the current champ @big_ramy. Congrats to him on his performance and for retaining his title! I fell short according to the judges, but I have zero regrets because I did my absolute best and the rest was in their hands.To be in the top 2 in the world for 3 consecutive years is my historical moment for the year. Each year I find something significant in the outcome and that was that moment for me.”
Brandon Curry took the necessary time to thank his family, friends, sponsors, and trainers. He made sure to hit all ends that work with him during his journey to the Olympia. And of course, Curry promised to be back in the future.
This is not surprising given the string of success he has found. Curry has been a top-two finisher in each of the last three Olympia’s. There is no doubt that he is one of the best in the world but the judges have been leaning toward Big Ramy over the last two years.

Brandon Curry made his first appearance at the Olympia in 2013, where he finished eighth. After a few finishes near the bottom, Curry climbed to top five in 2018. This was before he won both the Olympia and Arnold Classic in 2019. Now, Curry has solidified his legacy and has shown that he is a difficult competitor on stage.
Sights have already been set on the 2022 competition. There is no doubt that we will see Curry if all goes right and he could be competing for another title.

Big Ramy confirmed that he will defend his title for years to come in recent Instagram post.
Entering the 2021 Olympia, there was a belief that no one could take down defending champion Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay. On Saturday night, that was made clear as Big Ramy took home his second-straight title on the biggest stage in bodybuilding. Now, the Egyptian bodybuilder will focus on the upcoming years.
Big Ramy took to Instagram over the past couple of days to celebrate his victory at the 2021 Olympia. Most recently, he posted to say that he will be defending his title for years to come.
“Sandow is home and it will remain here for a very long time ، Thank you to all my fans around the world ، i made it because of your love and support.”
Can anyone take down Big Ramy at his peak? He entered the 2021 Olympia weighing in at 305 pounds, as said by a scale during the Olympia press conference. He is a mass monster that has retained an incredible physique at an enormous size. This is difficult to take down on stage but there are plenty of competitors that can compete.
Brandon Curry, who is a former Olympia champion, was the clear No. 2 behind Elssbiay at this year’s competition. He ended up taking second place while Hadi Choopan finished with the bronze medal. Nick Walker and Hunter Labrada rounded out the top five.
Competitors like Walker and Labrada are thought to be the future of bodybuilding because of their age and success to this point. With that being said, Big Ramy is not done defending his title and he believes that he can keep it for the upcoming competitions.
Big Ramy competed in his first Olympia in 2013 where he finished in eighth place. He climbed to second by 2017 but quickly fell to sixth place the very next year. Since then, Big Ramy has been at the top of the sport and has shown that during the Olympias.
The Men’s Open division is considered the top of the game and it is clear who the name to beat is. Big Ramy has claimed that winter is here and that has certainly been the case over the previous two years. If he stays at the top of his game, Big Ramy will be difficult to defeat anytime soon.

The Olympia is the biggest event of the year and it is one that never disappoints. This year, the best in the world gathered to Orlando to put on a memorable show over the course of the weekend.
The full results have been announced and it was highlighted by the Men’s Open division.
This year still had some issues carried over related to COVID-19 but it went much smoother this time around. The Men’s Open division saw some shake ups this year with different competitors being in and out. Nathan De Asha had to pull out of the competition because of travel issues while seven-time champion Phil Heath decided not to participate.
Despite some missing links, the division was as strong as ever led by reigning champion, Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay. During the prejudging, there was a clear top three with Big Ramy and second-place finisher in 2020 Brandon Curry. This included Hadi Choopan, who was fourth a year ago.
The Men’s Open competitors took the stage on Friday night for prejudging and fans had to wait until Saturday to see who would hoist the trophy. The full results have been announced and you can check out a full recap of the entire weekend below.

The Men’s Open division did not disappoint. Big Ramy was crowned the winner and took control during prejudging. Brandon Curry finished second and Hadi Choopan took third once again. The top five was strong as a unit with Nick Walker taking fifth and Hunter Labrada jumping up three spots from last year into the fourth place.
This is the second-straight Olympia victory for Big Ramy, defeating Curry once again. After prejudging, these two were the clear favorites and that is exactly how it played out.

The Bikini Olympia was wide open this year and ready to crown a new champion. Janey Layug, who won the competition in 2020, was not competing which means there would be a new winner. In the end, it was Jennifer Dorie picking up her second victory in two weeks. Dorie was victorious at the Arnold Classic two weeks ago.
Lauralie Chapados finished with the silver medal while Ashley Kaltwasser, who is a former Olympia champion, finished in third place. Dorie set a tone moving forward after her most-recent victories. This is a stretch of success she will look to continue.

There was a clear top tier coming into the weekend in Classic Physique. Chris Bumstead was the reigning two-time champion and the competitor to beat. The top three played out exactly how it did in 2020 and Bumstead made it three in a row.
Terrence Ruffin, fresh off a victory in the Arnold Classic, finished with silver once again while Breon Ansley finished third for the second-straight year. Bumstead and Ruffin have asserted their dominance at the top but it is clear that the Canadian bodybuilder is as good as it gets.

Brandon Hendrickson came into the Olympia looking to make it three victories in four years. He was defeated in 2019 but regained his title last year. Hendrickson made it three victories with a win in Orlando this weekend. First-time Olympia competitor Erin Banks won the New York Pro and solidified his talent with a second-place finish.
Diogo Montenegro climbed to third place at the event. Raymont Edmonds, former Olympia champion, finished fifth and it was a bit of a surprise. This allowed some new competitors to climb up in the standings. Even with that, Hendrickson is difficult to defeat.

The Men’s 212 division is one of the top in the sport. This is a title that Derek Lunsford has been attempting to grab for years now. He came into this year’s competition in exceptional shape and that showed during the prejudging round. It came down to Lunsford and 2020 Olympia champ Shaun Clarida.
In the end, it was Lunsford who was able to get over the hump and pick up the title. Clarida finished third followed by Kamal Elgargni, who fell one spot from his finish in 2020.

Shaw led a top three that was the same as 2020. Helle Trevino and Margie Martin switched spots this time around. Trevino finished with the silver medal while Martin came in third place. It was clear who the top-tier of competitors were coming in and Shaw asserted her dominance once again.

Gillon defeated the likes of Natalia Soltero and Stephanie Gibson. There have been some strong competitors coming into their own but Gillon has remained unbeatable for half a decade.

The results are in for the Bikini Division at Olympia 2021.
The Bikini division results have been announced and there is a new champion. This was known coming into the competition because last year’s winner, Janet Layug, would not be competing. In the end, it was Jennifer Dorie who took home the title.
During prejudging, there was a clear top three set.Dorieis coming off a victory at the Arnold Classic two weeks ago and was looking to continue momentum. She defeated Lauralie Chapados at the Arnold but she was a force on Saturday. Also, former Olympia Bikini champion Ashley Kaltwasser was back to being near the top. She knows what it takes to compete at the biggest event and did not disappoint.
Elisa Pecini was another dark-horse candidate that put on a strong performance. There was a total of 35 competitors in Bikini this year so there was a lot to uncover during prejudging. The judges did so by putting competitors through posing routines and a decision was made. That decision was announced Saturday night.

Olympia 2021 Classic Physique Results
Do we have a new Olympia 2020 Classic Physique champion? Or a three-peat?
The talk coming into this year’s Olympia was if Chris Bumstead could make it three in a row in Classic Physique. Would it be Bumstead? Could Breon Ansley return to the top or maybe a fresh name, such as Terrence Ruffin?
The top three was predicted by many and it ended up playing out just like 2020. Bumstead made it three in a row, followed by Ruffin then Ansley.
Classic Physique is full of competitors that bring it on stage every competition. Ruffin was named the Arnold Classic champion two weeks ago, when he defeated the 2020 champion Alex Cambronero. Bumstead come in with back-to-back victories at the Olympia after Ansley won two in a row in 2017 and 2018.
During prejudging, there was a top six, including Urs Kalecinski and Ramon Rocha Querioz. It was a question of who would jump into the top five and if anyone could take down Bumstead. A show was put on during this portion of the show and it set the scene for an exciting night at the final.

Olympia 2021 Men’s Physique Results
Who stood tallest at the Olympia 2021 Men’s Physique?
The Men’s Physique division was one that saw a bit of shakeup this time around. Brandon Hendrickson entered as the reigning champion looking to defend his title. He did so successfully and earned his third Olympia title in four years.
The results began in a surprising way with former Olympia champion Raymont Edmonds taking fifth place. He entered the weekend with a chance to finish in the top two or three. This meant that other competitors were to move up and those were Kyron Holden and Erin Banks. Men’s Physique is in a good position moving forward and there is no better place to show it off than the Olympia.
After a win at the New York Pro, Banks was able to move into the top two. In the end, it was not enough to take down the champion but in his first Olympia, Banks showed plenty and the future is bright. Hendrickson has flexed his muscles in this division and it will be entertaining to see what happens over the years.

Here are the full results from the Olympia 2021 Wellness division.
There was history made on stage at the Olympia this year. The Wellness division was featured for the first time at the biggest event of the year. In year one, it was an exciting show that brings even more hype for years to come. In the end, it was Francielle Mattos who took home the first Olympia Wellness title.
In May, Angela Borges became the first Wellness competitor to ever qualify for the Olympia. She finished with the gold medal at the Jim Manion’s IFBB Pro League Pittsburgh Pro. Borges finished with the silver behind Mattos. She was the first of many big names to qualify and load up the competitors’ list for the event.
Renee Jewett was one of the names to beat coming into the event. It was a good year for Jewett as she finished third at the Chicago Pro and ended up winning the Tampa Pro to earn qualification. Devyn Cambre entered as another dark-horse in the competition looking to take home the first Olympia Wellness title.
