Bradley Martyn Reacts to Potential Fight w/ MMA Legend Demetrious Johnson: “I Can’t Wait”

Bradley Martyn Reacts to Potential Fight w/ MMA Legend Demetrious Johnson: “I Can’t Wait”

Bodybuilder and YouTuber Bradley Martyn has been the talk of the MMA world lately, and it looks like he may have a fight lined up. On the Callabassis Fight Companion, Brendan Schaub told Martyn that Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson intends to fight him when he’s back from vacation.
Martyn is an immensely popular fitness personality who built a huge following on social media and YouTube. He hosts major productions like The Full Send Podcast and Bradley Martyn’s Raw Talk Podcast. Martyn also draws headlines routinely for his brutish strength.
Recently, some of Martyn’s statements have gone viral, like when he told Pro boxer Devin Haney to his face that he’d ‘beat his ass’ in a street fight. His remarks ruffled feathers, but most MMA fans quickly laughed off Bradley’s comments. However, Martyn poured fuel on the fire again after a podcast with former UFC star Nate Diaz. During their interaction, Bradley mentioned that he could possibly take Diaz in a street fight. Martyn also had some disparaging remarks to say about Jake Paul, which prompted his brother Logan Paul to call him out.

Earlier this week, Bradley Martyn invited Logan Paul to his Zoo Culture gym for a ‘no cameras’ fight. And while fans thought these two were destined to scrap, it looks like Martyn may have to deal with an MMA legend first. ‘Mighty Mouse’ is a decorated former UFC Flyweight champion and the current One Championship Flyweight champion.
Brendan Schaub Setting Up Fight Between Demetrious ‘Mighty Mouse’ Johnson and Bradley Martyn
Schaub is convinced that Bradley would get beat up by Demetrious Johnson given his lack of combat experience.

“I think the clip of us is at over 8 million views now, of me telling you Mighty Mouse would beat you up. A little update on that, spoke to Mighty Mouse because he reposted the clip. I was like, ‘Yo man,’ I tell – all fighters hit me up about you. I’m like, ‘He’s my boy, good dude, trolling also but he’s really humble, works his ass off, really disciplined.’ Anybody who meets you is going to love you,” said Brendan Schaub.
“I told Mighty Mouse that you’re a good dude, he’s like, ‘Yeah, no doubt. Just tell him, I’m down. It’s not going to go well.’ I tell him, ‘No I know, that’s why I want it to go down.’ He goes, ‘I have to go on vacation.’ I can’t say where he’s going, he said I’m going on vacation, but let’s figure it out, but I’ll come to LA just let me know.”
Martyn looked forward to meeting Johnson for a fight.

“I can’t wait. I can’t wait,” said Bradley Martyn.

Schaub says he spoke to DJ.DJ vs. Bradley Martyn is gonna happen.

Obscure fights appear to be the norm in 2023. While it’s yet to materialize, there are ongoing discussions about a potential combat showdown between Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and X’s Elon Musk. Zuckerberg has been spotted training in the company of UFC champions such as Israel Adesanya and Alexander Volkanovski. According to UFC President Dana White, both men are ‘dead serious’ about facing each other in the octagon.
Earlier this year, popular bodybuilding influencer Big Boy and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz were slated to fight each other. Big Boy made it clear that Ortiz was passed his prime and planned to ‘retire his ass’ when they finally decide to share the squared circle.
Should they actually meet for a fight, Bradley Martyn would hold an overwhelming size advantage of ‘Mighty Mouse.’ Martyn stands at 6’3″ and 265 pounds, while Johnson weighed in for most of his fights between 125-135 pounds at a height of 5’3″.

Elon Musk & Mark Zuckerberg ‘Dead Serious’ About Fighting in UFC: Dana White

Elon Musk & Mark Zuckerberg ‘Dead Serious’ About Fighting in UFC: Dana White

Celebrity boxing matches have gained a ton of popularity with the rise of social media influencers and former athletes testing out their abilities inside the ring in the last few years. A new kind of showdown appears to brewing between two of the richest men on the planet. In a recent interview with TMZ, UFC president Dana White confirmed Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk are serious about competing against each other in a cage fight.
Celebrity boxing matches have gained a ton of popularity with the rise of social media influencers and former athletes testing out their abilities inside the ring in the last few years. A new kind of showdown appears to brewing between two of the richest men on the planet. In a recent exchange on Twitter, Mark Zuckerberg accepted Elon Musk’s challenge to a cage fight and UFC president Dana White got involved too.
Business mogul Elon Musk is the richest man on the planet and maintains a packed schedule managing his businesses. He first rose to prominence for creating Zip2, an online city guide software firm that was acquired for $307 million in 1999. He helped shape the financial technology company PayPal through X.com.
Musk embarked on his passion project of making a spaceflight services company called SpaceX in 2002. Having invested early in electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla, he became the CEO in 2008 and also co-founded the artificial intelligence research company, OpenAI.
In Aug. 2022, Musk admitted he was not in the best shape he could be. Although he doesn’t enjoy working out, he understands its importance and indicated plans to fit time for the gym into his busy routine. Then, Musk followed up with a positive health update revealing he dropped 20 pounds after incorporating fasting into his lifestyle.

Mark Zuckerberg found success after he co-founded the social media giant Facebook in 2004. The platform quickly gained momentum and skyrocketed in popularity to become the largest online networking service in the world with over 2.94 billion monthly active users. He regularly features on the lists of the wealthiest persons in the world with a net worth exceeding $85 billion.
Zuckerberg opened up on his newfound passion for Brazilian jiu-jitsu last August. He expanded his presence in mixed martial arts by partnering with UFC champions like Alex Volkanovski for the launch of his virtual reality line. He was also in attendance cage side with his wife for UFC Vegas 61 to support Mackenzie Dern.
Last month, Zuckerberg put his grappling abilities to the test and scored gold and silver medals in his first BJJ tournament contest.
Dana White says Elon Musk & Mark Zuckerberg are serious about fighting in UFC
In a recent interview, Dana White confirmed Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg are serious about fighting each other inside the UFC octagon.
White shared updates after talking to both Mark and Elon about the possibility of a potential bout. He’s confident the super fight would handily overtake the crossover match between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor as the biggest event in combat sports history.
Zuck proved his fighting skills with medals in a BJJ contest weeks ago. According to White, Musk informed him he had been in “plenty of fights growing up in South Africa.” The UFC head honcho expects the pay-per-view to cost $100, a $20 bump up from the regular $80 for UFC events. All proceeds from the match would go to charity.
“Talked with Mark and Elon last night, both guys are absolutely dead serious about this,” White told TMZ. “The biggest fight of all time was Floyd and Conor, I just think it triples that — it triples what that did, there’s no limit on what that thing can make.”
Musk floated the idea of fighting Zuckerberg
On Jun. 21, Elon Musk expressed his willingness to compete against Zuck in a cage match. Zuck came across the tweet and issued a fiery response back, invoking the spirit of legendary UFC fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov.
“I’m up for a cage match if he is lol,” wrote Elon.
“Send Me Location,” Zuck replied.

This is Zuck’s story on insta right now.

Musk agreed to the possibility and laid out his training experience. He followed up by revealing his secret move.
“If this is for real, I will do it,” wrote Musk. “I almost never work out, except for picking up my kids & throwing them in the air.”
“Vegas Octagon,” he added. “I have this great move that I call ‘The Walrus’, where I just lie on top of my opponent & do nothing.”
Musk concluded, “The most entertaining outcome is the most likely.”

If this is for real, I will do it ??

Nurmagomedov, former UFC lightweight champion, weighed in with a brief message following the exchange between Zuck and Musk.
“Dagestan,” wrote Nurmagomedov.

Zuckerberg crushed the brutal Murph workout challenge on Memorial Day earlier this month. He performed 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, and 300 squats, and ran 2 miles in under 40 mins all while wearing a 20-pound vest.
As unexpected as it may seem, Dana White’s comments solidify that a clash between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg is brewing and there’s a good chance it might be on the horizon.

UFC Icon Conor McGregor Accused of Rape at NBA Finals, Denies Allegations

UFC Icon Conor McGregor Accused of Rape at NBA Finals, Denies Allegations

UFC superstar Conor McGregor is easily the most recognizable name in the sport of mixed martial arts. Besides his immense popularity, the Irish fighter has amassed a fortune from competing inside the octagon. According to TMZ Sports, McGregor got accused of rape while in attendance for Game 4 of the NBA finals this past Friday.
Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor is one of the first true superstars out of MMA to break into the mainstream. He kicked off his professional career on the regional circuit in Ireland and quickly found success with his insane athletic abilities and charismatic personality under the Cage Warriors banner, where he won the featherweight and lightweight championships.
McGregor joined the UFC, the most elite MMA promotion in the world, as only the second Irish fighter in 2013. He impressed in his debut by scoring a first-round knockout of Marcus Brimage. After racking up more wins, McGregor got the opportunity to face legendary fighter Jose Aldo for the featherweight title in Dec. 2015. He made history by setting the record for the fastest knockout in a UFC title fight at 13 seconds to win the 145-pound gold.
‘The Notorious’ took on Eddie Alvarez for a shot at the lightweight championship whilst holding the featherweight belt in Nov. 2016. McGregor put on a masterclass and handily dispatched Alvarez with a stellar combination to become UFC’s first-ever ‘champ-champ,’ holding belts in two different weight classes simultaneously.

Following his win over Alvarez, Conor McGregor’s career took a different direction as he focused on other things beyond MMA, including a crossover boxing match with legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. In Feb. 2019, a single mother from the UK alleged McGregor was the father of her daughter and requested him to take a DNA test. He refuted the claims and the matter fizzled out.
McGregor found himself in trouble again a month later when he got accused of sexual assault in Ireland. His team vehemently denied the allegations but his bitter rival Khabib Nurmagomedov did not miss the chance to hurl insults at him. He faced similar accusations again months later and another time when he made his comeback against Dustin Poirier during the fight week of UFC 257 in Jan. 2021. In the end, he walked away freely without any legal repercussions.
UFC icon Conor McGregor accused of rape at NBA Finals
TMZ Sports reported Conor McGregor got accused of raping a woman at Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Jun. 9.
The alleged incident took place following Denver Nuggets’ win over Miami Heat at the Kaseya Center in Florida. McGregor was in attendance at the event and even performed a skit with the Heat mascot to entertain the fans.
As per letters written by attorney Ariel Mitchell, the woman claimed McGregor sexually assaulted her inside a men’s bathroom after NBA and Heat security helped take the woman away from her friends and forced her into the bathroom.
In the letters, Mitchell says “security refused to let [the woman] exit or allow anyone else, including her friend, inside the bathroom.” McGregor allegedly “shoved his tongue in the victim’s mouth and aggressively kissed her” before trying to sodomize her. The woman managed to escape after elbowing McGregor multiple times and reported the incident to local authorities on Sunday.
The woman seeks settlements with the NBA, the Heat, and McGregor in lieu of litigation. McGregor’s representatives denied the allegations.
“Allegations are false,” said McGregor’s reps in a statement. “Mr. McGregor will not be intimidated.”
“UFC will allow the legal process to play out before making any additional statements,” addressed the UFC.
Conor McGregor has been on the sidelines in recovery for a horrific leg break injury he picked up in his last bout. He appears to have recovered well and packed on the pounds while away from competition. In Dec. 2021, he showed off his massive build in a physique update claiming he weighed 190 pounds.
McGregor ignited a rivalry with internet sensation Liver King after getting challenged to a liver-eating contest last October. Given the change in his physique, he compared himself to a combination of legendary bodybuilder Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Lee. There has been speculation about whether he used steroids or Photoshop based on a workout update he gave last November.
McGregor is scheduled to take on Michael Chandler in his return to action following their tenure as coaches on the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter. Although the bout was targeted for later this year, it’s unclear if it would proceed as planned or if he would delay his return to next year.

Grappling Icon Gordon Ryan Re-Ignites Steroid Use Rumors After Insane Body Transformation

Grappling Icon Gordon Ryan Re-Ignites Steroid Use Rumors After Insane Body Transformation

American grappling sensation Gordon Ryan made headlines for his crazy reverse body transformation two weeks ago. He appeared to have lost a significant amount of muscle mass and looked downsized in a major way. In a recent Instagram post, Ryan sparked rumors of potential steroid use after he shared another physique update with an absolutely ripped midsection.
Gordon Ryan started training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) at the age of 15 and soon joined prolific trainer John Danaher and fellow standouts Tom deBlass and Garry Tonon. His potential was evident from the start as he quickly worked his way up the ranks as a brown belt competitor. Eventually, he earned a black belt from his mentor Tonon in Feb. 2016. He racked up wins over several top-ranking grapplers like world champion Yuri Simoes and Keenan Cornelius.
Ryan came out on top of the 2017 ADCC (Abu Dhabi Combat Club) World Championship in the -88-kg weight division, beating the likes of Dillon Danis, Romulo Barrel, and Cornelius. He came close to winning the absolute division but fell short to Felipe Pena in the final.
As a BJJ contender, Ryan formed a team of all-stars under coach Danaher, aptly named The Danaher Death Squad. He joined Team Alpha Male, a pioneering mixed martial arts academy founded and led by former champion Urijah Faber. He led the team to victory in Quintet’s 2018 Tournament with submission wins over Craig Jones and Vitor Ribeiro.
‘The King’ suffered a knee injury and tore his LCL in his victory over Joao Gabriel Rocha at KASAI Super Series in 2019. The injury forced him to the sidelines for nearly six months. He picked up another major injury in a freak accident a few months later but it didn’t stop him from scoring gold at the ADCC in the -99-kg division.

Gordon Ryan established his status as a dominant no-gi grappling expert with an affinity for no-time limit submission-only matches. In 2021, Ryan signed with combat sports promotion ONE Championship. However, he didn’t make his debut under the banner due to health challenges. He needed to take a brief hiatus after his long-time stomach issues worsened.
Ryan created history at the 2022 ADCC by securing the top prize in the +99-kg division and in the super fight against Andre Galvao. It marked the first time an athlete competed in both the superfight and the weight category. He also recorded the fastest submission time in ADCC’s history with an 11-second heel hook finish of Roosevelt Sousa.
Earlier this year, Ryan pulled out of his scheduled outing with Pena due to his battle with stomach issues. He revealed that he suffered a serious case of Strep throat as a result of taking penicillin in May. As his stomach issues worsened, surgery was required to fix his deviated septum.
On May 30, Ryan left the fans stunned with an unbelievable reverse body transformation. He reported a negative reaction to overusing antibiotics and looked like a far cry from his usual jacked self. The change led to speculation from fans about whether the sudden change was a result of stopping steroid use instead of just poor gut health.

Gordon Ryan ignites rumors of steroid use after insane body transformation
In a recent Instagram post, Gordon Ryan shared a jacked body transformation showing off his huge build after seemingly recovering from his previous update.
While many are quick to assume the change is purely due to discontinuing and reusing steroids, it’s hard to imagine such a drastic shift in his physique in a matter of days. There is a high chance other factors such as lighting, posing, pump, diet intake, and camera trickery play a part in highlighting image contrast. It could also be his physique returning back to his original body composition, which would not have been possible had he not been in excellent shape in the first place.
“Lotta cockroaches out there who haven’t won anything or done anything in their pathetic lives with my name in their mouth all the time,” wrote Ryan. “Soon, all theyll be able to talk about is the greatness that will soon transpire. Limp ďìćƙ móťĥéŕfùçķéŕš.”
“TLDR: I’m back on roids,” commented one.
“Back on roids again?” said a user.
Another responded, “Damn bro whats yo cycle im trynna get like u bro.”

Gordon Ryan appears to be inching closer to a full recovery with the latest update. While he will likely miss out on competition this year, fans are excited to see him return once he’s fit and ready.

Grappling Phenom Gordon Ryan Shocks Fans with Crazy Reverse Body Transformation

Grappling Phenom Gordon Ryan Shocks Fans with Crazy Reverse Body Transformation

American grappling phenom Gordon Ryan is widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and arguably the greatest no-gi grappler of all time. What makes his achievements even more impressive is the fact that he has been battling a stomach condition called gastroparesis for the majority of his career. In a recent Instagram post, Ryan shocked fans with his reverse body transformation where he looked significantly downsized from health challenges.
Gordon Ryan found his passion for grappling in his teenage years. He started learning from fellow standout Garry Tonon and joined the renowned Brazilian jiu-jitsu coach John Danaher to improve his abilities. Danaher’s gifted mind for the game combined with Tonon’s skills and Ryan’s insane athleticism saw them forge a solid partnership. The group went on to achieve unparalleled heights in the sport with Ryan at the helm of the now-disbanded ‘Danaher Death Squad.’
Ryan won the coveted ADCC (Abu Dhabi Combat Club) World Championship, considered the most prestigious submission grappling competition in the world, in the -88-kilogram weight category in 2017. The following year, he came out on top of the IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation) World No-Gi and Pan No-Gi Championships, winning both at his weight category and the absolute class.
The 27-year-old scored his second ADCC title in 2019 with a dominant performance. He defeated his training partner Garry Tonon on his way to winning the -99 kg group as well as the absolute division. Besides his grappling talents, Ryan made headlines for his insanely jacked physique transformation. He packed on the pounds to boast impressive muscle mass, size, and conditioning.
Ryan had been dealing with stomach issues since the early days of his career. After a faulty diagnosis, it was revealed he was suffering from a fungal growth in his small intestine and a bacterial imbalance. The issue stemming from 2019 worsened due to his high exposure to antibiotics and other illnesses. Danaher and Ryan later explained that he competed while dealing with excruciating pain. Although Ryan signed a deal with ONE Championship in 2021, he did not get to compete under the banner due to gut issues.

Gordon Ryan created history by becoming the first competitor to participate in both the super fight and the weight class at the 2022 ADCC. He handily dispatched the competition in the +99kg group, setting a new record for the fastest submission in the show’s history at 11 seconds, and also won the super-fight against prolific grappler Andre Galvao.
Ryan joins forces with iconic Strongman Hafthor Bjornsson and Martins Licis for a training session last December. Despite the massive size difference, Ryan tapped out both giants in a friendly rolling session. ‘The King’ has been on the sidelines this year because of his stomach problems. He pinned the blame on antibiotics demolishing his healthy gut microbiome, which ended up exacerbating his GI issues.
Ryan documented his health conditions on his social media channels. On May 22, he revealed he suffered “a severe case of strep throat” which did not heal from penicillin. He said his stomach worsened, prompting surgery for a tonsillectomy and to fix his deviated septum. Then, he got IV liquids to speed up his recovery following the surgery.
Gordon Ryan shocks fans with insane reverse body transformation
In a recent Instagram post, Gordon Ryan gave fans a look into his reverse body transformation with a snap where he looked significantly downsized from his previous jacked self.
“Everyone posts their best. Be confident enough to post your worst,” wrote Ryan. “This post is simply to update everyone on my current athletic status. I’m not asking for sympathy or help, and in fact, would prefer if you lose faith in me so I can prove you wrong like I always do. The last time I was this size,(201 lbs,20+ lbs this week) I was 21 years old. When I got the strep in early March, my ears became so inflamed that every time I elevated my heart rate I felt my head would explode. It’s been 2 months since I’ve been able to do any intense activity. I spoke with my doctor and got the silicone stints taken out of my nose and I’m told I cant start lifting for another 3 weeks and training for roughly 2 months. This will make 3 months of 0 activity and 5 months of no training. That, coupled with the fact that over 40 days of antibiotics wasn’t great for my stomach, it’s safe to say I have a long road back to competition. My focus now, as an athlete, is on getting healthy and helping my team mates/students prepare for matches. No matter how ill I’ve been, there’s nothing worse than not being there to help them prepare for upcoming matches, and not being there to give @danaherjohn the Gordon he deserves.
My goal in this sport is simple- double gold in ADCC until I’m 40 years old and have more ADCC medals than Buchecha has world titles. That being said, for 5 years now, my body, specifically my immune system and stomach have been barely cooperating with this plan.  Given the time ive missed to nurse my pathetic body back to health, it may be difficult long term to stay ahead of the curve I was once far ahead of. I have done so thus far and have no intention of letting those down to depend on me. The goal isn’t to be in the mix having fun. Winning, that’s what’s fun for me. I will attempt to, and succeed at staying on top until my body quits on me completely. Doctor prescribed antibiotics are as much a gift as they are a curse. Theyve saved my life a fair amount of times, yet also ruined it. Antibiotics have done my body more harm than anything else in my life. Thank you for being patient with my competition schedule. Just know, when I come back, boy, will I be back.”
Seven-time Men’s 212 Olympia champion Flex Lewis weighed in with his best wishes for Ryan.
“You be back bigger and stronger than ever. Let your body heel,” wrote Lewis. “Always here to help in anyways I can CHAMP.”

The photo drew a lot of heat from fans who theorized steroid use caused the condition. It’s important to note PEDs (performance-enhancing drugs) are suspected to be rampant in the sport of Brazilian jiu-jitsu. However, it’s only Gordon Ryan suffering from such health challenges which could suggest his gut issues are to blame for the change in his physique as opposed to getting off steroids.
“Bro came off the GH and test too,” commented one.
“Damn I knew he was juicing but I didn’t know he was JUICING,” wrote a user.
Another said, “A health crisis doesn’t rob you of your physic. Not being on cycle does lol.”
“I didn’t know stopping steroids was a health crisis,” wrote one.
“Health crisis. Getting off steroids is not a health crisis, abusing steroids to the point your internal organs almost explode is not a health crisis. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes,” commented another.
“Bro you need to stop taking steroids, it’s killing you,” said one.
“Stop taking/cycling roids then.. Your body is screaming for help bruh,” wrote a user.

Gordon Ryan is expected to spend the remainder of the year out of competition in recovery. While the change in his physique is quite drastic, he’s confident he could turn things around and get back to his best self with time.

UFC 276 Results: Adesanya vs Cannonier, Volkanovski vs Holloway 3

UFC 276 Results: Adesanya vs Cannonier, Volkanovski vs Holloway 3

*Results below
UFC 276 features some of the best fights this year.
There’s no doubt about it. If you are a fight fan then you will want to be tuning into UFC 276 featuring middleweight champion Israel Adesanya versus Jared Cannonier, and the third meeting between Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway for the featherweight title. Both matches will likely be intense, stand up battles between some of the best strikers in the world.
How do these great fighters match up? Let’s dig a little bit deeper to find out.
Israel Adesanya vs Jared Cannonier
Israel Adesanya
At this point of his career, Israel Adesanya is trying to cement his legacy as one of the greatest middleweights of all time. While he may be quick to deny this fact, Adesanya has gone on a legendary streak inside the UFC. If he hopes to remain the champion, he’ll have to bring his best against the hard-hitting Jared Cannonier.
Israel Adesanya should aim to use feints early and often. While this has always been a staple to his game, dealing with a powerhouse like Cannonier means dealing with one shot knockout power in every strike. While many didn’t like his approach against Yoel Romero, Adesanya would be smart to replicate the performance. He should aim to throw noncommittal offense to see what Cannonier will want to do. As he begins to draw out cannoneers attack, Adesanya will have a better opportunity to counter.
Jared Cannonier
On the other side of the equation, pressure, pressure, pressure should be the name of the game for Jared Cannonier. Israel Adesanya is adept at dealing with pressure fighters, but nonetheless it’s Cannonier’s best opportunity to win.
Jared Cannonier will want to avoid a cerebral striking match with Adesanya. If he tries to strike from distance and gives out Adesanya enough time to figure out a game plan, Cannonier could find himself way behind in the five-round affair. Cannonier should aim to enter the pocket as quickly as possible, utilizing jabs and feints, while also remaining defensively responsible. Once he does get inside the pocket, he should aim to damage Adesanya’s legs powerful and consistent leg kicks. If he can do this and slow Adesanya down, Cannonier can then utilize his big power while at mid-range.

Alexander Volkanovski vs Max Holloway 3
Alexander Volkanovski
Having defeated Max Holloway twice already Alexander Volkanovski could easily come into this fight with a chip on his shoulder. Fortunately for the featherweight champion, that won’t be the case, as Volkanovski is a consummate professional. His first two bouts with Holloway showed that not only can Volkanovski match the former champion’s pace, but switch gears when necessary.
Like always, Alexander Volkanovski should rely on his fakes and feints, much like his stablemate Israel Adesanya. What he should also add to the game is more front kicks. While he had a bunch of success in the first two fights with leg kicks, he’ll need a new wrinkle to add to his game. Front kicks will allow him to have an extra weapon to attack up the center line. This can either keep Holloway at bay or mask when Volkanovski chooses to throw his leg kicks or body kicks. Volkanovski should constantly break his center line and avoid moving straight in to avoid Holloway’s jab, knee, or rear uppercut-lead hook combination.
Max Holloway
Having lost the first two battles with Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway is going to need to bring something new to the table. While he was a dominant champion during his reign, Holloway usually has one approach to his fights. That is to throw a high volume of strikes many of which are set up by his hands. In his bouts, fence dropping the second fight against Volkanovski, Holloway has shown even more improved skills and an ability to switch up the game plan when needed.
McQueen strategy for Holloway, which worked for him well in the first bout, is attacking the head and then going down to the body. You should also look to start combinations off with his front kick or his inside leg kick. He can use these strikes as throwaways to gauge distance and to eventually drop his heavier shots with his hands. As always, his jab is going to be paramount to his success. He also needs to check leg kicks, and this cannot be stressed enough. He allowed Volkanovski to get off too many flush leg kicks, which eventually hampered Holloway’s movement. Fighting at longer range, just outside kicking range and baiting Volkanovski into counter shots should be Holloway’s main strategy to obtain victory.

UFC 275 Glover Teixeira vs Jiri Prochazka Preview and Results

UFC 275 Glover Teixeira vs Jiri Prochazka Preview and Results

Who wins at UFC 275?
UFC 275 promises to be an electric event. The card features a main event title fight between light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira versus the enigmatic Jiri Prochazka. The Co main event will feature women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko versus Taila Santos. Each matchup offers it’s own intriguing questions to be answered. Can the wily veteran Teixeira outduel the awkward yet authentic Prochazka? Does Santos have the goods to dethrone the nigh unbeatable Shevchenko? Let’s take a deeper look and see what we can find out.
Valentina Shevchenko vs Taila Santos
The reigning UFC women’s flyweight champion for 3 ½ years now, Valentina Shevchenko has shown her dominance with wins over the division’s best. Taila Santos has also shown that she is more than capable in a fight. The unfortunate part for the Brazilian is that she’s up against Shevchenko whose weaknesses are nearly nonexistent. From striking to wrestling to grappling, Shevchenko has a distinct advantage everywhere the fight goes. With that said, Santos does appear to possess superior strength for the weight class.

If Taila Santos hopes to defeat Valentina Shevchenko, she’ll have to pressure forward and close the distance against the champion. That, of course, is easier said than done, as pressuring Shevchenko could prove to be like running straight into a buzz saw. Shevchenko is a master of distance and will likely use her superior footwork jab and bread and butter kicks to keep Santos on the outside. Is Santos does get ahold of Shevchenko, she could try to bully the champion in the clinch and potentially get her down to the ground. Santos does have strong ground control and good elbows from top position. However, don’t be surprised if Shevchenko is able to secure submission from bottom should the fight reach the ground.
Glover Teixeira vs Jiri Prochazka
It’s youth versus experience in the UFC 275 main event. Glover Teixeira is a tough veteran who rose through the ranks and fought a who’s who in the light heavyweight division. Jiri Prochazka, on the other hand exploded onto the scene and picked up three devastating knockouts in as many UFC appearances to earn this title shot. Where Teixeira employs a more traditional approach with pressure boxing, strong wrestling, and superior grappling, Prochazka is an awkward striking who also likes to come forward with unorthodox techniques.

Glover Teixeira should definitely look to take this to the ground and look for submission with ground and pound in between. Jiri Prochazka doesn’t seem like one for gameplans, but the uppercut is definitely a punch he should be looking for. The deciding factor of the fight will be determined by whichever man can impose their will.
