What can you Tell me about Prednisone on steroid cycle?

So i was prescribed prednisone and bactrim(antibiotic) for a bad sinus infection that wont go away, since january 31st, this is my 4 antibiotic, and first time on prednisone,

anyways, anyone know any interactions i should be aware of from prednisone and testosterone?

im just not familiar with corticosteroids or whatever this is

If you are running any 17aa I would watch liver toxicity but I don't know how hepatoxic prednisone is.

What is your dose and duration on it? Short intense dose say 50mg for 3 days should not even be a factor. Longer doses 10 days plus you may notice some side effects and elevation in your liver values. It is a fast acting short ester type steroid and clears your system pretty fast compared to other things you have tried in the past.

its a nine day cycle of prednisone and he has me doing this:

day 1,2 3 i take 3 tabs each day
day 4,5,6 i take 2 tabs each day
day 7,8,9 i take 1 tab each day

each tab is 10mg

took 3 today, all at once as the script doesnt say whether to spread them out or all at once, so i took them all at once, its cleared my sinuses out really good, i guess the swelling went down in there and i could breath again, but the infection of yellow smelly shit is still present, but it was just the first day so we will see.

I am now on Bactrim antibiotic as well two a day spaced out for 10 days.

i was on augmenton for 7 days, then azythrimiacin for 5 days, then lavaquic for 10 days, then took 2 weeks off antibiotics, got ct scan , went back to ENT dr, and he gave me this shit and if its not healed in two weeks, he wants to do surgery to clean out my sinuses so i can breath and lose this fucking infection.

the culture he took when he crammed a fucking camera down my sinuses also came back with STREP , i guess like strep throat, but in my sinuses, and he cant understand why since i was on all those other antibiotics, so here i am still sick since January 31st, though not as bad, im much better, i just have a bad sinus infection which wont go the fuck away.

The two have no interactions. Youre fine.

nah bro, and trust me, fungul infection is exactly what i thought i had after the augmenton didnt work, then the zpack didnt work, then the lavaquin didnt work, and now im on bactrim, and they all are for viral or bacterial, so the only thing left was fungal, so yeah bro im all over this trust me, as i ben sick since jan 31st no BS!!

First i thought my new office had mold maybe in it, or my new house, and maybe i didnt know it until the heat was blasting through vents, possibly mold, but the doctor said the ct scan would show if it was fungal, problem is the assholes only sent him the report of my ct scan, not the actual disc with the scan for him to look at,

so idk man, the prednisone , bactrim im currently on seems to be doing soemthing, this morning was the first time i woke up with a clear right sinus, so i pray this combo is the trick, but im still getting nasal drip of some yellow infection,

im probably dying lmao, or have a rare bug eating away at my skull, or maybe aliens implanted me with something cause they could see from space how special i was down here lmao, i dont fucking know man, i just wanna feel better soon!

oh and im suppose to be using flonase, and some other shit to squirt up my nse and clean it out, he said it wuld help, but i cant bring myself to put anything up my nose unless its fish scale ya know , kidding of course but i just am afraid to use the flonase and other shit

Prednisone is cortizone, a catabolic steroid. Exactly the opposite of an anabolic steroid. It cause breakdown of muscle tissue and stops any tissue building biological activity. It will neutralize testosterone activity. Testosterone will also increase biological activity like a fungal infection. That is what it does, it promotes biological activity. Now would be a good time to give your body a rest from the testosterone and go off of it until your infections are cured.

Long term use but prednisone script is just 7 days left so I'll be fine there I think and lastly ....no way I'm stopping testosterone lol

Never heard that either about Test and fungi. I will ask about it.

Testosterone and the anabolics promote and enhance biological activity. It dosen't matter if it is muscle growth, a fungal infection or cancer cells. It stimulates biological activity. You might be neutralizing the effects of prednisone by taking test at the same time. Your problem is you may have high levels of test in you so it will take weeks to get it out of you so the prednisone can work.

By the way, I bet you didn't tell your doctor you were on testosterone.

of course i did, why wouldnt i? my family physician and my ent dr and any doctor i see i tell them everything, i mean whats the point of going to the doctor and lying about shit that could prevent the doctor from helping you, thats pointless, lastly, they know as soon they see me, not saying that to be a dick, but its an obvious observation lol,

thats not an interaction bro, thats called counteracting, big difference! i was asking for interactions like say you take two drugs together and it stops your heart, and shit like that, but he is right there is no inter action, found that easily on webmd and some other sites i visited today looking for info

I dont want to sound mean, but youre incorrect on this post. Please dont spread fear like that man. There is absolutely no correlation between test and fungi growth
