leg night!!!!

if I remember correctly, they pick 4 exercises (not squats) and do 100 reps for each.

for instance, extensions, use moderate weight and go until you can't get any more, rest for 20 seconds or so, and go again until you can't do anymore, etc.....

I feel like puking every time I do legs....I struggle through them but don't look forward to it.

Now back day is one I look forward to.

exactly!!!

one of the 4 exercises was calves.

isnt 100 reps just aerobic training ? ive never done it , but am just thinking , how would it cause hypertrophy ?
but then again , john parrillo has successfully used 100 rep squats for a long time on athletes , i think he calls it belt squats or something like that .
but just wondering why u guys think this will cause hypertrophy to a better extent ?

Ok, with the 100 rep set I do not believe that it is aerobic because you use a weight that you may get about 25 reps non-stop with. Then it's rest-pause all the way to 100. believe me, when you get half-way and can only grind out 2-3 reps then have to wait 5-10 seconds before continuing with another 2-3 reps there is NOTHING aerobic feeling there! LOL
I swear when we are done that my legs have grown the next day by at least an inch!

KR

my last leg workout was supersets with leg press and leg extensions for 5 sets of 25 reps each. then bodymasters squat machine for 4 sets of 20reps.

thanks skip:puke: :drooling:

yeah but the basic fact that u could get 100 reps makes it pretty aerobic doesnt it ? i might be talking like an idiot here lol , cos ive never tried this , but just trying to understand why it works ...what exercises do u choose for this anyway bro ?

try it and let us know how it goes......lol

lol , i will ! was thinking of using the leg press , cos bad form at later stages of the 100 rep set using squat will just cause back problems ..

No you're not being an idiot but it is definitely something you need to try to believe. We don't do it often, maybe a few times a year. As far as exercises you really need machines because the stabilization ability will go 1st. Now our last time we did it we started with leg extensions 200lbs, then leg curls 100lbs, then leg press 4 plates (360 lbs), then donkey calf 300 lbs. Again, shoot for 25 reps or so for your 1st run then whatever you can get till you hit 100, DO NOT GET UP FROM THE MACHINE UNTIL YOU'RE THERE!
