OK if you can blow that up you can see it on the left side of that protruding bone spur looking object.
When the wrist is straight it pulls away from the top portion, and when I deviate it to the ulnar side, the bottom opens up

So what do u need to do to get it fixed? Rest or surgery or something?

I haven't been able to see a ortho or sports med guy yet so I have no idea, I do know by just doin reg work and working out extremely lightly that it has not healed at all in like 6 weeks bc it keeps moving around so it can't. The dilemma is the new position I am in hasn't even been 90 days yet so if I get this dealt with they dont have to hold my position (at least I dont think they do) I work in a state that all it's laws for workers are PRO-employer by farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! And even if they hold my spot it will look bad and like every 1 negative thing in life, it easily outweighs 1000 great things, so knowing that has me nervous. I been bustin my balls and havin a great attitude w everything (thanks prolly to prescribed xanax to help me chill out before sleep) but I am afraid it will be out weighed by the dickhead that just got trained and needs time off now kinda thing....
Fuck ADVICE please errrrryone lol but seriously I need opinions here!

So I asked the doc if this could be done loacally instead of bein anesthetized and he said yeah sure, than I asked "so I guess you will do a nerve block" he replied "no just lidocaine" so this is going to hurt like a bitch bc he's goin to use those chompers things to chomp off the extra bone :surprised omfg surgery next month...

Nothing about that sounds good! So this procedure will allow to not miss work? Man you're going to have to stay doped up at work. That is a good thing sometimes but probably not when you're worried about making a good impression. Good luck with it!

Damn Bro, I just cringed. I understand the work thing and getting it done and still being a trooper and getting into work would look really good for you I would think.

Im going to take 12 days off, it may end up bein more, the shitty thing is I transferred to this dept in december which mean I cant collect any pl until after 6 months so wermpp :(

Yeah I have actually been working with this since December on top of that a really bad plantars wart for like almost the same time, it really blows bro, but ah hopefully someone notices damn he works this hard with all this shit wrong.

SOOOOOOO on top of everything else, I am putting a 2" lift on our Pathfinder today and right as im finishin up for the night (did the front end today) My wrench slips and hand gets 2 slices from ramming into the Upper control arm.
If I went to the ER it would def be 5 - 7 stitches, so I washed it, but Triple A in it, guaze wrapped it, than finished the passenger side. Than cam back in, scrubbed it w antibacterial soap and hot water, I put triple A n it again, and it was bleeding so badly that it pushed it out, my wife and I tried to put steri strips on it but it was bleeding so bad that they wouldnt stick..... Im all fucked up right now!

Damn bro that F'n blows! Is it the same hand you're having the surgery, shit I hope not, but then again having both hands stitched up might be worse.

lol yup same hand and left foot plantars wart that is bleeding outta control

jeez man i got my finger crossed for ya..i know how it can suck working with a injury..ive had to do it more than once..but u are going throu it..

get the meat on your hand as close back together as it was normal. Get some crazy glue and glue it, then
butterfly bandades to keep it closed. Wrap the shit out of it for a couple of days then slowly get some air
on it then rewrap tight. Longer the better. When you are giving it air make sure you dont bang it.
Believe me, this is all from experience. lol I was sheetmetal worker for over 30 years and sometimes
this was better then sitting in emergency for hours. If you dont get it stitched up in a few hours they
cant stich it anymore. AND dont forget to keep a antibiotic gell or cream on it. Let me know how it works.
When I got a real bad cut, I would know imeadiatly if it needed stiches. If I had to think about it I didnt really
need them. Just my advice. Also, get it back together as close to normal as you can or it will always have a funny
scare. That is from experience aslo. Luck bro.

Thanks everyone! Yeah I need to put more antibiotic ointment on it. I have been doin liquid bandaid.

***Update
Wrist surgery 4/4 and Plantar wart appt 4/9 OMG! 13 has always been my unlucky number and that's the year, and it's been an aching one so far!

wow bro, put a wrist immobilizer on and dont use it for 5 wks. fuck surgery on that little piece of shit fragment

i think a long arm cast with your wrist in pronation would do the trick really. control rotation by locking your elbow at 90 degrees and keep the hand pronated to keep the fragment close to the styloid and u'll be healed. but whatev

yeah that would be the best thing, but it boils down to time, and fastest way to get back to work unfortunately :(

I understand that completely. But im surprised he's not going to immobilise it for 5 wks after sx anyways
