I've been about 6 months without eating any red meat. I've cut calories and carbs, lost weight but strength too. :( Looking for the leanest and highest protein red meat to start eating again. Any crock pot recipes? What's yalls fav??

Horses is the best red meat...! Very low fat, high protein, high b12, etc.
But i don't eat horses.

IMO any kind of sirloin is lean and of course has creatine in it hence the strength qualities. Round steak too is about the same but takes me forever to chew. I try and eat steak 5 times a weak and its getting expensive

I started back this weekend, had a sirloin. It seems harder for me to eat as much red meats as I do chicken. I'm sure it must take longer to digest.

I believe the leanest cut of cow is eye round. Look at it in the package next to a sirloin and you'll see there's hardly any fan in the meat, just a thin rim of it around the outside. I like eye round steaks grilled, but I have to have them "medium" to "medium well" as opposed to medium rare, which is how I like just about every other cut of beef. And eye round takes longer to cook to the same level as sirloin, I think because there's hardly any fat in the meat. It seems more dense than other cuts. It ain't cheap, either. My wife does NOT like eye round steaks grilled, she prefers to pan sear them. I don't like them like that at all, but whatever works!

We buy all kinds. Top sirloin, London Broil, eye round... I can't eat the same thing day in and day out! Eye round will say just that on the package. There is also top round, bottom round... eye round is the leanest cot I know of.

I don't eat steak, I don't like it, plus it takes forever to digest, though my wife could eat steak every damn day, but not me, yuck

LoL I'm trying to slowly add steaks back into my diet. I agree, it feels impossible to eat every 3 hours if steak is part of your meal.

agreed, but i see and know guys who do that shit lol I'm just not one of them lol

I grilled a 16oz petite sirlion and divided it up into 4 4oz portions. Added it to my chicken and brown rice meals throughout the day. I digested it better like this!
