From the Research & Development Desk: New Anabolic Oil
I’d like to update you on something I have been working on for about one year now. It is a new dietary fat that is anabolic or anti-catabolic. Here are some highlights about it.
Number 1It does not currently exist. One of the problems with the sports nutrition industry is 99.9% of the products that come out as “new” are not. They are just old ingredients with new labels. Or it is some supplement company trying to fool you like they created something new and cutting edge. Meanwhile, it is some formula they copied from another supplement company or a resurrected supplement from the 80s or 90s, like MCT oil.
My new anabolic oil might be released very soon.
This product that I have been working on DOES NOT EXIST. If I start selling it, you cannot get it anywhere else. It is BRAND NEW!!! It is a new invention.
Second. It is a dietary fat. If you have been a reader of mine, you know I love dietary fats. They are muscle-sparing, anabolic, and provide energy. Consume good fat, and you are going to be anabolic. Well, this is a NEW FAT! And I have studies to back up its use for anabolic benefits.
Last. And this is a little hint and how it works…This product goes right to the muscle creating an instant positive nitrogen state!
I have no date on the release, but I am currently working on it.
Bio Serum UpdateSo close, so close, it could be next week or the week after. I’ll offer it in 1 lb, 2 lbs, and 5 lbs.

Many bodybuilders are increasingly getting obsessed with drinking breast milk. Yes, you read that right. What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you notice a grown man or woman taking breast milk meant for babies? Well, however, yuckish that mind sound, bodybuilders who have discovered its secret don’t care about naysayers. Supplemental breast milk comes with many fitness benefits only bodybuilders can explain.
But why human milk? Scientists and fitness experts have been scratching their heads to try and answer this. And although there isn’t sufficient data to support breast milk’s effectiveness in enhancing muscle growth, users have some positive results. In this article, we will try to find out the possible reasons bodybuilders have resorted to taking breast milk as a supplement.
What Science Says
It is important to note that breast milk is the most complex, nutrient-rich food for babies for all mammals. Babies derive many benefits from breast milk, including immune-boosting sugars and development nutrients. No wonder every bodybuilder wants a piece of this magical natural product to have the edge over their opponent. Breast milk has no side effects, unlike other synthetic products bodybuilders use as supplements.

The formula has been known to promote development in bodybuilders, just like it does babies. Bodybuilders will go to any length to build muscle and strength. There is a notion that bodybuilders are selective about the kinds of foods they take, and it is for the right reasons. It is not every meal you take that helps you to achieve your fitness goals. Importantly, bodybuilders must watch out for their diet lest they consume something that reaches the opposite of what they want as far as fitness is concerned.
Benefits of Supplemental Breast Milk to A Bodybuilder
There is a significant amount of protein in breast milk. It is one of the best sources of protein for athletes and bodybuilders. Bodybuilders take breast milk because it increases muscle growth, helps with recovery, and contains a lot of protein. Breast milk comprises between 50 and 60 percent water, 25 to 35 percent carbohydrates, and 10 to 15 percent protein.
It also contains fat, which is mainly in the form of triglycerides (which are a type of fat). It has plenty of vitamins and minerals that are important for bodybuilders. Breast milk also has immune-boosting properties that help fight bacteria and pathogens in the human body. While it is not as easy as a shake, breast milk can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 72 hours.
It is a good idea to store it if you are on vacation and need to keep fit. The B vitamin, niacin, is also in breast milk. It helps absorb other B vitamins in the body, and it helps fight off infections. The amount of protein in this milk is a significant part of what makes it a valuable source for bodybuilders. The amount of protein in breast milk is also essential to bodybuilders because they need a lot of protein in their diets.

Preparing Supplemental Breast Milk At Home
If you’re going to prepare breast milk at home, then it is much easier than buying it from the store. To make a protein shake, mix 10-12 ounces (3/4 to 1 cup) of breast milk in one blender container with 15-20 ice cubes. Add 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract and 6-8 ounces of your favorite fruit juice (fruit or vegetable). Blend until smooth. You can also replace the fruit juice with water or soy milk, but you lose the nutritional benefits that come with breast milk.
Oprah Winfrey’s Take on Supplemental breast milk
Oprah Winfrey famously drinks a cup of breast milk daily, claiming it helps her sleep better and improves her skin. Some say that eating foods from animal sources such as meat, dairy, and eggs is bad for you because they contain cholesterol, saturated fats, and high omega-6 fatty acids. However, it is no secret that these products are, in fact, quite nutritious and healthy for the bodybuilder. When switching to a vegan diet to lose fat or enhance physical performance, athletes must carefully consider their intake of vitamins A, D, B12, and C.
Breast Milk Vs. Regular Supplements
Regular supplements are often extracted, purified, and concentrated on offering a high dosage of their key ingredient. The downside of this is that they don’t always provide the benefits associated with the original food. As an example, red wine contains antioxidants known to promote heart health. However, most red wine supplements are synthetic and have such a low concentration of these antioxidants that you need to drink about ten bottles for the same effect as one bottle of regular red wine.
When combining multiple supplements, it’s essential to consider that many of these substances have different effects (see the “When You Shouldn’t Take It” section below). Certain supplements may also interfere with each other. For example, some people find that they can exercise better when taking creatine along with the amino acid L-arginine. However, others find that this combination causes a headache. In general, it would be best not to accept these two supplements.
The Downside of Regular Supplements
Supplements are a great way to help bodybuilders reach their goals. However, there are some disadvantages to some supplements for bodybuilders. For example, there could be side effects from using these supplements. It is essential to research what the side effects might be before starting a supplement. It is not always necessary to use supplements to get the nutrients you need in your diet. Eating at least five servings of fruits and vegetables daily will get all the vitamins and minerals your body needs.
Some supplements may be necessary for bodybuilders, others could improve their performance, and others are just for fun. Some joint supplements for bodybuilders include creatine, protein powders and bars, glutamine, BCAA’s or leucine-enrichened proteins/whey products, multivitamins, and supplements for testosterone.
The main disadvantage of supplements is that they may contain harmful ingredients or too much of a particular nutrient. For example, creatine has been shown to cause liver damage in doses higher than the recommended daily allowance, so it is best to use it only when necessary. Other side effects could be allergic reactions or infections from bacteria found in supplements. Researching the potential side effects before taking any supplement is a good idea if you are going to use the supplement.
Breast Milk in The Black Market
Supplemental breast milk is sold for $1.50 per ounce, a popular item on the black market. Breast milk in the black market is a relatively new phenomenon. It started with the rise of the internet and social media, which made it easier for mothers to connect.
It’s a booming business that has been fueled by increasing demand from parents who are unable to breastfeed their children or by those who want to try out breastfeeding before they commit to it .” Due to the high demand, breast milk is now being sold in online marketplaces and real-life stores,” says Caroline Dyas, Senior Lecturer of Sociology at Goldsmiths College. “From a sociological perspective, there are many reasons why people buy or sell breast milk.”Breastfeeding rates worldwide have been steadily increasing as more mothers choose not to use formula because they believe it has adverse health effects.
Formula companies have responded by creating products that mimic the effects of breast milk, and as a result, demand for human milk has increased. The trade-in breast milk is also driven by the rise of “natural parenting” – a movement emphasizing breastfeeding over formula feeding. These mothers believe professional support and resources are insufficient to enable parents to breastfeed their children exclusively. “Women who want to get into the business often have difficulty finding lactating donors,” explains Dyas. “As a result, it’s straightforward for these.
Is Breast Milk Legal?
In the United States, buying or selling human breast milk is illegal, but providing breast milk for free is not unlawful. Women can be paid by companies that make formulas and baby food in exchange for their donated breast milk. Organizations like the Human Milk Banking Association of North America and Mothers’ Milk Bank of North Dakota have helped establish banks around the US where women can donate their excess breast milk without penalty.Breast milk is often donated for research in Japan because it is considered a superfood. To prevent breast milk from being in short supply, many women are attempting to donate their milk. This has created a market for human milk and its derivatives, such as infant formula, developed or improved over time by companies such as Nestle and Mead Johnson.
Overall
Breast milk is an excellent source of nutrients and is much better for bodybuilders than cow’s milk. The advantages of breast milk to bodybuilders are many. Breast milk contains the perfect balance of protein, fat, and carbohydrates, making it an excellent post-workout drink. It also has all the essential vitamins and minerals that your body needs to recover from a strenuous workout.
Supplemental breast milk is not just for kids. The protein in breast milk can help build muscles in adults too. Although there are other ways to get protein, it’s still a good option for lactose-intolerant bodybuilders or those who don’t like meat products. It is not uncommon for people to have intestinal issues when they eat meat. They may also think it’s easier to avoid meat altogether and give their bodies a break from saturated fat. With this in mind, breast milk has a much lower impact on the body and often includes less saturated fat than meats.
A theory exists that consuming these foods may allow the body to produce more human growth hormone (HGH), thereby increasing muscle and lean body mass in the short term. There is no scientific evidence to support this claim, however.

Fighter Who Competed On Recent Floyd Mayweather Undercard Accuses ‘Money’ Of Not Paying Her 2 Weeks After The Event
One of the athletes who competed on the undercard of the most recent Floyd Mayweather-headlined event has called out the all-time boxing great for not yet paying out her purse.
Sammy-Jo Luxton, a renowned British Muay Thai competitor who’s won European and British titles in the striking-only sport, made her boxing debut at The O2 arena last month. At the February 26 event, topped by Mayweather’s latest exhibition bout, “Ghetto Cinderella” emerged victorious over fellow newcomer Hayley Barraclough.
But while Luxton marked one of the standout performers prior to Mayweather’s outing opposite English reality TV star Aaron Chalmers, it appears that not everything has gone smoothly regarding the event.
Luxton Calls For Mayweather To Pay Her Purse: “Your Girl Needs To Eat”
On Thursday, Luxton responded to a report of Mayweather’s plans moving forward, which includes as many as five more exhibition contests in different countries this year. But before “Money” focuses on new cards, Luxton has called for him to live up to his moniker and focus on completing his commitments from the last.
In a now-deleted tweet, the English native revealed that she’s yet to see the money she earned at the London-held event almost two weeks ago.
“Before Mayweather does all of these exhibitions for $$$$, can I get paid first for the one two weeks ago???” Luxton wrote. “Cause I’m still waiting and your girl needs to eat.”
While a two-week delay isn’t too significant, Mayweather has history when it comes to public accusations of late payments. Notably, the 15-time world champion was accused of failing to pay YouTube star Logan Paul following their 2021 exhibition bout.
That back and forth became so drawn out that Paul was even reported to have sued Mayweather for an undisclosed amount early last year. Luxton will certainly be hoping to avoid her early frustrations reaching that stage.
Beyond securing payment for her boxing debut, Luxton has an upcoming venture into MMA to prepare for. “Ghetto Cinderella” was confirmed to have made an MMA switch and signed with the Professional Fighters League (PFL) last month.
What do you make of claims Floyd Mayweather is yet to pay out for the UK-held event in February?
Jon Jones Appears To Retract Peace Offering To Daniel Cormier Following UFC 285
One of the interesting takeaways from the recently concluded UFC 285 event, where Jon Jones locked in GOAT status by making quick work of Ciryl Gane, was his purported interaction with arch-nemesis Daniel Cormier.
Cormier was on commentary for the actual event, and even during fight week, much was made about a the two doing an interview together. Although that never came to fruition, Cormier did reveal that he had a phone call with Jones during the fighter meetings to gain a better understanding of how he was going to approach the fight. For his part, Jon Jones had also offered an olive branch in the lead up to the contest, publicly endorsing Daniel Cormier’s professionalism in the commentary desk. Cormier also responded in kind, saying that it ‘feels nice’ to hear Jones’ endorsement of his commentary skills.
However, it would appear that Jones has now retracted his peace offering in one of his latest Tweets. In a Twitter Q& A that he conducted, Jones had this response to a fan who noticed Daniel Cormier’s less-than-animated reaction to his UFC 285 win.
“My man couldn’t even pretend to smile, it was pretty funny. Asking what happened, an experience(d) former champion and analyst suddenly not being able to identify a guillotine,” said Jones.

To place this in context, Daniel Cormier is generally known for his over-the-top, effervescent reactions when he’s on commentary. In contract, his reaction to Jones’ win was rather subdue – a fact that seemingly hasn’t escaped the attention of the UFC heavyweight champion either.

Jon Jones Claims Francis Ngannou Left The UFC To Avoid Fighting Him
In another Tweet during the same Q& A, Jones was also less-than-complimentary of his predecessor, Francis Ngannou.
UFC 270 in January 2022 was Ngannou’s last UFC outing, when he outpointed Ciryl Gane in a close contest. ‘The Predator’ has since been released from his UFC contract as he could not come to terms with the organization.
Jones, however, feels that Ngannou had another reason for leaving. Replying to a fan who asked him if a potential fight against Francis Ngannou would be possible in the future, Jones had this to say.“I highly doubt it, especially after that first performance [at UFC 285]. Like I said, the dude left for a reason. Came up with every demand and request in the world. He knew that the UFC wasn’t going to bend, he found his way out.”
You can read more about Jones’ thoughts on Francis Ngannou here.

UFC Fight Night 221 Sleeper Scrap: Said Nurmagomedov vs. Jonathan Martinez
Welcome to the MMA News’ Sleeper Scrap! The relentless schedule of the MMA world means that some fans don’t have a full look at a fight card until days before the event, leaving the promoters to decide which bouts you should be paying the most attention to.
Everyone wants to tune in for main events and fights that feature popular names, but that means meaningful or potentially action-packed matchups from elsewhere on fight cards sometimes get lost in the shuffle. A Sleeper Scrap might highlight interesting style matchups, fighters with notable storylines, or bouts that simply have the chance to be a Fight of the Night contender.
Last week’s Sleeper Scrap from UFC 285 saw Farid Basharat make his promotional debut with a hard-fought win against Da’Mon Blackshear, and this week’s UFC Fight Night 221 is a surprisingly strong card with a few matchups that deserve some extra shine. Only of those fights can be highlighted as a Sleeper Scrap however, and this week’s pick is the bantamweight bout featuring Said Nurmagomedov and Jonathan Martinez.
The Fighters
Not related to the UFC’s former lightweight champion Khabib, Said Nurmagomedov has already earned five victories from six fights since joining the promotion in 2018.
The Russian started his career at 6-0 before suffering his first loss, but a five-fight win streak led to him getting the call to join the UFC in 2018. His promotional debut ended with a split decision win over Justin Scoggins in a flyweight contest, and in his second UFC fight Nurmagomedov stopped Ricardo Ramos in the first round.

The 30-year-old had that winning streak snapped in his first UFC loss against Raoni Barcelos, but Nurmagomedov rebounded by finishing both Mark Striegl and Cody Stamann in less than a minute. Following his most recent victories over Douglas Silva de Andrade and Saidyokub Kahkramonov, the Russian now has four-straight wins with three finishes.
Jonathan Martinez entered the UFC the same year as Nurmagomedov, but so far he’s been the considerably more active fighter and has already competed for the promotion 11 times.
Martinez has kept busy since joining the UFC in 2018. (Zuffa LLC)
The 28-year-old’s only loss prior to joining the UFC was due to him landing an illegal knee on current UFC flyweight Matt Schnell, but Martinez did come up short in his promotional debut when he lost a unanimous decision to Andre Soukhamthath.
“Dragon” went 4-2 over his next six fights and earned a pair of impressive stoppages against Pingyuan Liu and Frankie Saenz, but Martinez appears to have really hit his stride in the UFC after being stopped by Davey Grant in 2021. Since then the 28-year-old has rattled off three decision victories that included handing Zviad Lazishvili the first loss of his pro career, and Martinez most recently stopped UFC Hall of Famer Cub Swanson with leg kicks.
The Matchup
It’s already been established that Said has no relation to Khabib’s family of Nurmagomedovs, but the 30-year-old also separates himself from that group with his preference for relying on striking more than grappling.
The most notable feature of Nurmagomedov’s striking arsenal is undoubtedly his kicks, which he’ll throw with regularity from both southpaw and orthodox stances. The Russian is comfortable kicking with either leg, and he’s just as likely to throw something at an opponent’s head and body as he is to try and chop down their lower half.
Nurmagomedov’s kicks are a constant threat for his opponents. (Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC)
Aside from an occasional jab, the 30-year-old mainly uses his hands to throw big counter punches at aggressive opponents. Nurmagomedov also loves to throw spinning back fists and spinning kicks, but his recklessness with these techniques does open him up for takedown attempts when he hasn’t gauged his range properly.
Although he prefers to strike, opponents that do tie up with Nurmagomedov need to be wary of his submission game. Cody Stamman tried to land a takedown off a spinning back fist attempt before finding himself caught in a guillotine choke, and Saidyokub Kakhramaonov had considerable success wrestling the Russian before suffering the same fate.
Martinez employs a somewhat similar striking style to Nurmagomedov in that he relies a lot on his kicks and the particularly dangerous attacks directed at the legs of his opponents.
“Dragon” likes to keep opposing fighters backed up to the fence when he can, and often times he accomplishes this by relying on his feints. The southpaw will start opening up with his jab more as he gains confidence, but his hand feints largely serve as a way to set up openings for his kicking game.
Martinez finished Cub Swason with leg kicks in his last fight. (Twitter)
Martinez can sometimes be guilty of throwing kicks without setting them up with previous strikes, but the speed at which he throws these attacks is a danger for most opponents. The 28-year-old will use his rear kick to attack the head, body, and legs of opponents, and he’ll also work in low kicks with his lead leg to accumulate damage like in his most recent fight with Cub Swanson.
The American is occasionally willing to mix in his own takedowns in order to swing a close round in his favor, and his ability to remain standing when opponents try to bring him down has largely been solid during his UFC career.
The Stakes
The bantamweight division is a regular fixture in the Sleeper Scrap series due to the overwhelming level of talent available in the weight class, and these two fighters are no exception to that trend.
Breaking into the Top 15 of such a loaded division is no easy task, but the fact that both of these men are on four-fight win streaks shows they’re already a cut above many of the bantamweights in the UFC. A chance at the top part of the division is by no means guaranteed with a win here, but a five-fight win streak for either man would certainly put them in a strong position going forward.
Martinez will need to avoid being caught in one of Nurmagomedov’s guillotine chokes. (Chris Unger/Zuffa LLC)
The loss to Raoni Barcelos is the only setback of Nurmagomedov’s UFC career so far, but he could benefit from putting on a convincing performance against Martinez. The Russian’s last two fights saw him overcome some adversity before securing the win, but his dynamic finishing ability always makes him a threat to prevail in bouts where he might be struggling at points.
Martinez is in the best form of his UFC career after his up-and-down start with the promotion, and his last win against Swanson was especially impressive. The veteran was admittedly past his best, but after three-straight decisions that finish will hopefully give “Dragon” quite a bit of confidence against an opponent in Nurmagomedov that has shown himself to be vulnerable to leg kicks.
Martinez is currently on the best winning streak of his UFC career. (Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC)
One aspect of this fight that could prove particularly entertaining for fans is if Nurmagomedov elects to rely on his spinning attacks even when Martinez has him backed to the fence. These close-quarters exchanges could result in the Russian getting countered or taken down, but during those scrambles “Dragon” will need to make sure that he protects his neck from potential submission attempts.
How do you think this bout between Nurmagomedov and Martinez will turn out? Are there any other fights from UFC Fight Night 221 that you feel deserve more attention?
Brandon Gibson Provides Update On Aaron Pico’s Shoulder, Says He’ll Be Bellator Champion In 2023
Brandon Gibson has provided a positive update on the shoulder injury that Aaron Pico suffered in the first round of his last fight.
Pico was one of the most-hyped prospects in the history of MMA even before his first fight, but his pro career got off to an inauspicious start in 2017 when he was submitted by Zach Freeman in less than 30 seconds at Bellator NYC. The 26-year-old stopped his next four opponents before suffering a pair of knockout losses in 2019, and he rebounded from those results by embarking on a six-fight win streak that he carried into his most recent bout against UFC veteran Jeremy Kennedy at Bellator 286.
A sizeable favorite heading into the matchup, things quickly took an ugly turn for Pico when his shoulder appeared to pop out of place early on in the fight with Kennedy. The 26-year-old survived the opening round and made it back to his corner, but the bout was called off after it was determined that Pico would be unable to continue.
Gibson Expects Pico To Be Bellator Champion In 2023
Gibson was in the corner at Bellator 286 and attempted to yank Pico’s shoulder back into place, but the noted striking coach recently told Ariel Helwani that his fighter should be returning to action in the near future.
Pico’s corner attempted to fix his shoulder at Bellator 286. (Esther Lin)
“He’s even better than he was,” Gibson said on The MMA Hour. “He needed that shoulder surgery, it was a long, lingering injury. It was unfortunate how that fight with Jeremy Kennedy goes, I cannot wait to run that back. That’s something that motivates me every single day. Aaron’s shoulder is stronger than ever, it’s actually scary. I’ve been having to really tape my wrists, his left hook has been so powerful and so fast. And also while he was rehabbing that left shoulder, and he just continued to polish every bit of his game. From them mental to the physical. Aaron Pico’s gonna win a world championship in 2023 for Bellator, I have no doubt in my mind Ariel. I’m gonna have – my two students are gonna my two champions by the end of this year.”
The other “student” Gibson referred to was Jon Jones, who returned to the cage after a three-year layoff at last weekend’s UFC 285. Making his heavyweight debut against Ciryl Gane, “Bones” showed very little ring rust and needed just over two minutes to secure a guillotine choke that crowned him as the UFC’s heavyweight champion.
That event’s main card also included the UFC debut of Bo Nickal, who is arguably the sport’s hottest prospect to come along since Pico. The 27-year-old secured his fourth first-round stoppage in as many pro bouts when he submitted Jamie Pickett, but the win did result in a bit of controversy.
What do you think of Gibson’s claim that Pico will be Bellator champion by the end of the year?

Jake Paul Challenges Floyd Mayweather To Put 50-0 Record On The Line In Real Fight, Refuses To ‘Rob Fans’ With Exhibition
YouTuber-turned-pugilist Jake Paul has called for boxing legend Floyd Mayweather to put his undefeated record on the line in a professional bout.
While he made his name as an internet personality and Disney star, Paul has since spread his wings into the combat sports world through seven professional appearances. Last time out, “The Problem Child” fell to defeat for the first time in his career, with British pro Tommy Fury earning the nod on two of the three judges’ scorecards in Saudi Arabia.
Although an immediate rematch appears to be on the table owing to clause in Paul’s contract, a fresh option presented itself this week courtesy of a public altercation.
On Wednesday, Paul almost came to blows with Mayweather and his large entourage outside the Miami-Dade Arena. In footage released by TMZ Sports, the 26-year-old Cleveland native can be seen running from the group after threats of violence.
Floyd if you want to fight 1 on 1 we can do that but don’t try to hop out of 3 cars 25 dudes deep tryna to jump me while I’m tryna enjoy my Wednesday night— Jake Paul (@jakepaul) March 9, 2023
Since then, Paul has made a number of comments online. In one video, he accused Mayweather and his team of waiting for him outside the stadium, and also defended his decision to quickly depart the situation.
Now, the polarizing online star has laid down a challenge.
Paul Calls Out Mayweather Following Public Confrontation
While Paul was building his prominence in combat sports through professional bouts against mixed martial arts veterans, Mayweather was maintaining his own presence in the sport.
The 15-time world champion has featured in numerous exhibition bouts, including against a British YouTuber and former opponent of Paul’s in Deji Olatunji last November. Just last month, “Money” made his UK debut against former MMA fighter and reality TV star Aaron Chalmers.
In a recent tweet following their public clash, Paul revealed he’s been offered exhibition matches opposite Mayweather in the past. But believing that would be “robbing” the fans, the 26-year-old called for the legendary pugilist to put his undefeated record on the line in a “real fight.”
“Floyd will not see me 1 on 1 in a real fight. That’s a fact,” Paul wrote. “His team has hit my team numerous times to do one of his ‘exhibitions’. Now he ambushes me. Come see me in the ring, real fight, no exhibition robbing fans bullsh*t.”
Floyd will not see me 1 on 1 in a real fight. That’s a fact. His team has hit my team numerous times to do one of his “exhibitions”. Now he ambushes me ?. Come see me in the ring, real fight, no exhibition robbing fans bullshit.— Jake Paul (@jakepaul) March 9, 2023
Paul’s comments about exhibition bouts come in spite of his brother Logan competing in one such contest against Mayweather back in 2021. Incidentally, that’s also where Jake’s feud with “Money” appears to have started.
While in attendance at a pre-fight press conference, Paul sparked chaos by removing Mayweather’s hat. With that, as well as the latest clash, the groundwork has certainly been laid for a future collision inside the squared circle.
Would you like to see Jake Paul and Floyd Mayweather settle their differences in the ring?
Petr Yan Gives His Prediction For Aljamain Sterling vs. Henry Cejudo
Former UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan has provided his prediction for the expected next title fight in his division.
Ever since he recorded his second successful title defense last October at UFC 280, it’s been widely expected that Aljamain Sterling will welcome former two-division champion Henry Cejudo back to the Octagon next.
While there is still yet to be official confirmation of the bout, it appears to be all but finalized. And after reported showdowns in March and April didn’t come to fruition, both parties have named UFC 288 on May 6 as the likely date.
Ever since talk of the bout picked up, predictions and analysis have been consistently floated around the MMA community.
While some have cited Cejudo’s form prior to his 2020 retirement to support their view that “Triple C” is the man to dethrone “Funk Master,” others think the reigning champ will make it an unsuccessful comeback for the 2008 Olympic gold medalist.
Yan, a former two-time opponent of Sterling’s, sits in the latter group.
Yan Backs Former Opponent Sterling In Planned Next Defense
During his appearance at UFC Las Vegas media day on Wednesday ahead of his own return to the Octagon, Yan was asked for his take on the planned bantamweight showdown in New Jersey later this year.
Having shared the Octagon with Sterling on two separate occasions, feeling the full force of the champ’s grappling talents in their 2022 rematch, the Russian is well-placed to assess Sterling’s chances of victory.
And owing to Cejudo’s lengthy layoff, which will be three days short of three years should he return on May 6, “No Mercy” is giving Sterling good odds of a third successful retention.
“If this fight will (happen), I think Sterling will win,” Yan said before addressing whether Cejudo’s layoff will play a part in the result. “Yes, I think it’s gonna effect him. I don’t believe he’s gonna display his best shape.”
Before watching his division’s next championship bout, Yan has business to attend to this weekend. In the UFC Las Vegas main event, the Russian will look to return to the win column having gone 0-2 last year.
Given the controversial nature of his defeat to Sean O’Malley last October in Abu Dhabi, as well as the close nature of his rematch with “Funk Master” six months prior, it stands to reason that a victory over Merab Dvalishvili will thrust Yan straight back into contention.
Do you agree with Petr Yan’s prediction for Aljamain Sterling vs. Henry Cejudo?

Former UFC Fighter Beats Stage 4 Cancer In A Year, Shows Off Incredible Body Transformation
Former UFC fighter and WEC title challenger Mike Swick has posted an update on his cancer diagnosis, revealing that he’s now “cancer free.”
Swick, who competed in both the welterweight and middleweight divisions during his UFC career, hung up his gloves in 2015 following consecutive losses to Matt Brown and Alex Garcia.
Prior to that, “Quick” had his hand raised 10 times inside the Octagon, in addition to challenging for the inaugural WEC middleweight gold in 2004.
Since his retirement, Swick has maintained his presence in the sport by running his own gym in Phuket. The facility, AKA Thailand, is connected to the American Kickboxing Academy headquarters in California.
Image: AKA Thailand
Early last year, Swick revealed troubling news. The MMA veteran announced that he was facing his “toughest and most aggressive battle” after being diagnosed with stage four leukemia lymphoma, a type of blood cancer that begins in the bone marrow.
Despite the stage four characterization noting that Swick was battling an extremely aggressive form of the disease, the 43-year-old recently revealed that he’s won the fight.
Swick, Former UFC Contender, Shares Positive Update
This week, Swick took to social media to reveal some incredibly good news. Just over a year on from his diagnosis, the former UFC contender is cancer free.
In a post showing his physical transformation from his diagnosis to receiving the all-clear, Swick provided a motivational message in light of his recovery.
“43 and Cancer Free! As you can see by the photo, I didn’t wait around for the test results… Very positive I was gonna win this battle somehow. It can come back and I can always get it later in life but I will be much more prepared and ready and can at least always say no matter what, I kicked it’s ass!” Swick wrote. “As you can see from my timeline the last year, it didn’t slow me down. It was tough but keeping a positive mindset and not allowing it to change my life anymore than it had to was important and kept my stress down and life moving forward.
“Stage 4 of the most aggressive and deadly form of Lymphoma Leukemia. (It) was not an easy thing to hear so young and healthy but I been a fighter since I was a kid and accepted the challenge and knew this post would come one day. Literally from the day I took that first selfie, I couldn’t wait to post this,” Swick added.
Swick also addressed the hope that his story will inspire those suffering from similar circumstances, offering his support in any way possible and thanking those who’ve done the same for him.
“I hope it’s inspiring to anyone facing the same situation or similar and if you have any questions comment below or DM me,” Swick said. “Many have been fighting this with me and many will be successful and live full happy lives after! Anything I can do to help will just make me more happy! Thanks for all the support! It’s been amazing! Love you all!”
