Tired A LOT lately?

I'm curious to get some other's ideas about this.

I've put on a lot of weight over the last 4 months (close to 25 lbs) and have been obviously eating a lot and training heavy.

I took this week off after a less than stellar workout Monday. I felt like my CNS is fried and my energy level is way down. This past weekend I spent most of the time on the couch dozing in and out of consciousness.

After taking Monday off I have still been waking up around the same time and eating the same amount minus the calories exerted during a workout in hopes of neither gaining or losing any mass. Well, everyday I have ended up falling asleep on the couch shortly after I wake up and have been feeling tired a good deal.

I am thinking a couple of things. Maybe my CNS and body is tired from hard training with no break for a while? Maybe my body is trying to get used to the extra weight I've put on rather quickly? My fiance made a good point and said that gaining that much weight in a relatively short period of time is like walking around with a weight vest on all the time and my body just isn't used to it.

Have never really bulked up this much this fast before so unsure about what could be the cause. What do you guys think?

You sound like me, only I haven't gained that much--of course I'm older so I'd probably get tired more easily.

I'd say that both of your thoughts are correct. You probably need both to give your CNS a break and let your body get used to carrying the heavier weight. I noticed that I would get the same way after gaining weight, and of course that is after working out heavily for a while so it makes sense that it may be time to take a break. I took a week off last week, and I felt much, much better this week, and I've been much stronger coming back. Listen to your body. If it feels burned out, it probably is and needs a break.

A lot of us are experiencing the same thing.

I dont believe in my case its the weight. I've been this heavy for about 3 years now. I dont think its the training either.

I know me personally, I've been on a lot of gear, lot of heavy stuff. I think my body needs a break from it.

Sounds like your body weight is bothering you but be careful its not overtraining as well. I always get like this then get some sort of infection such as sinusitis and can barely get rid of it after a trip to the doc. The one thing I have never been good at is listening when my body is telling me something. I would take at least four or five days off and see how things go. Well I say I would but Im hardheaded as well. It would be beneficial to anyways. LOL

my blood presser has been jacked up too.... I puked a couple weeks ago and it burst a blood vessel in my eye.

Your CNS is probably fried, (are you taking pre workout ECA or thermo's ?) your body isnt use to the extra weight yet...How much of the weight is solid muscle ?

Nothing pre-workout for me right now. I was taking Superpump which has some caffeine in it. I don't drink soda or normally take in any caffeine so it had me kind of jacked up.

I'd say probably at least half of my recent weight is quality muscle. I don't really know for sure since I don't have a way to take my own body fat. I'm just guessing based on how lean I look in the mirror.
