ab training ?

I would venture to say that everyday is fine and wouldnt realy be too much
 
May I ask why you think that abs are different to any other muscle and that they could be trained every day?
They too tear and repair like all other muscles so I would say they need rest like everything else.

Or are you saying they have a faster recovery rate and will repair over night?
 
I have heard you can train them every day, with your 1 day a week still off, but idk, I hate working out abs

well i personaly dont do abs much if at all, and base my answer on the fact that i know alot of guys who do them everyday. One day obliques another day mids ect...and some guys feel like they have to do them every day, but like i said im lucky enough not to have to kill them like that, so i dont do abs much at all while others do em day in and day out without any problems at all!!!!

kind of like calves, some guys do em everyday at the end of their workout,

I guess I should also note this, Im going by guys who compete and for those type of guys they already have abs from all the other work they do in the gym and their abs are usualy always there anyways, so all they need to do is a touch up at the end of everyworkout to keep them sharp, so doing them daily is fine

i understand now. As for i do them once somtimes twice a week. but when i do them i smash them hard to the point i cant laugh or cough for a day or two later.

yeah I kind of figure that from ur response, i dont think theirs anything wrong with that either bro, and dont think their was realy a wrong answer to this question
 
I agree with Presser, if you're touching them up then I don't see why you couldn't do them daily, but if you're crushing them like Boomer, then you definitely need a rest. It's kinda like people who do push ups and pull ups everyday and have great results from it. You're not crushing the muscle, but just doing some kind of movement to keep them look "crisp." But if you add in a weighted movement and really hit them hard, then yes like any other muscle, they'll need a rest
