how do you ease muscle soreness?

So i went to the gym and did my 6 reps for 6 sets and the next day i was so fucking sore. It has been 3 days and i am still pretty sore. What do you guys use to help the muscles get back to normal. I lifted heavy and havent been this sore in a very long time.
any ideas of food or anything? Im not looking for ibuprofen or anything but what do you guys use if your sore for more than two days from working out?
I have been told dark beer and garlic helps. just unusual to be so sore for so long but i did lift heavy 70 pound dumbell flyes and 100 pond dumbell curls made my chest and arms pretty sore.(starting weight and went up 5 pounds each set)
Any recommendations?

100lb dumbell curls?! WTF?? As for helping with recovery. I do weekly massages, ultrasound, and my new far and away favorite... insulin. I also like alternating hot and cold during a shower.
 
I make sure to take aminos during training and they help out. I can tell a difference when I take them and when I'm out and don't take them for a week or so. So anymore I make sure I have it every training session. But heat will help, I will rub my muscles when I'm sore too, works for me. The Dude likes massages and I'm sure they work, but I've never had a professional massage so I'm not sure, but I know rubbing the muscles myself helps so I'm sure that it would help

Yeah, I start at 50 and work up 5 lbs every set for 6 sets..didnt mean it like 100 each arm..lol Im working my way up to that lol
 
Im doing better but when you go heavy for a week or two after just normal lifting, I do this every other month. It makes me so sore for a few days (4). Just lifting my arms over my head hurts so bad on my lats and chest and bi's.
I wont do massage, cant staand hurting then have someone hurt me more, I did try heat and increased my water and drank a dark beer. That actually helped I felt better the next day.
I love lifting heavy and just hate the extreme msoreness I get after, just wondered if any of you do this as part of your routine and how you deal with it....or am I just the only stupid one?
 
yeah, i did that last week and it helped but my friend said dring a guiness and it actually helped. The dark flavanoids is what does it. I felt better the next day. crazy!
