Since i have been back in the gym close to 3 weeks, i have been doing well and i recently started to work my neck on a neck machine in the gym, as my neck lost a little of its thickness when i was out of the gym all those months, anyways my question is what if anything do you guys do for your necks?

I know when i played football we had 50 machines dedicated to strengthening the neck, but in the common gym you dont find many neck machines as my gym has only one and i been using that with great success!

I also use to use the chained weight that you would strap onto your head and work the neck at different angles but my gym doesnt have one of those and i may pick one up for myself

again what do u guys like doing for neck so i can maybe incorporate it into my routine! I been doing neck like training calfs, every day at end of w/o

We have a 4 way machine for the neck. You can sit in it and put the pad on the back, left, right or front of your head and move whichever way you have it strengthen all sides of the neck. I used to do a lot of neck exercises like you for wrestling, but got away from it all until recently and I've been using this machine and my neck has gotten thicker and my girl keeps saying I'm starting to look like a turtle since my neck has gotten thicker and my traps make it look like I've basically got little to no neck.

And just a little FYI, if you're looking into getting one of the neck straps, I believe APT has one. I know they are a sponsor here now which is great, but I'm not certain that they do. I know I bought a dip belt from them and thought I remembered seeing a neck strap or whatever they're called, but it's the same thing that you're referring to

This is the only thing that we have at are gym.. But I have never tried it..

my gym doesnt have anything for neck. a couple guys bring their own neck straps in. i have one that i sort of rigged myself out of nylon strap, velcro, and a carabinar

My gym has nothing for the neck. I really wish I could train my neck more but don't have anything to do it.

lay on a flat bench with my head hanging off the end-put a 45lbs weight on my forehead and do neck curls

im picturing a seal balancing a red ball on his head, how the hell do u keep the plate there bro

Years ago we would simply get on our tip toes and put our head on the floor and use the neck to lower and raise ourselves and move side to side. I wouldn't dare try that now. I'd snap my neck.

haha, my bad I do hold the sides of the plate to balance it

lay on the bench with the head hanging over, put the plate on my forehead, holding the sides with my hands to keep the balance, then lower my head and raise it like I'm making a nodding motion

BTW this will somewhat work the abs too
